Great polite staff. Parking on weekends in back is terrible, no Parking in front. A menu in the rooms would be nice

My mother, myself and my children went for a Chris**as weekend. Artie at the bar was extremely rude , hurtful, disrespectful and made us cry during the happy hour meal. The front lobby staff was also very short and rude. He was making fun and talking about my children to other patrons. I don't think the hotel is used to having any families there.
However, Ryan and Brittany were incredible help. They saved our entire weekend. They were kind, gracious, understanding and very nice to my children. We ended up having a fantastic Santa brunch on Sunday thanks to them. We would return only if they were still there.

We were very happy with our stay at the American Hotel. Check in was fast and easy with Pat. She was friendly and helpful. Eric, the bartender, was friendly and efficient. The woman (sorry, I don’t remember her name) that checked us out was warm & friendly and offered us coffee to go as she knew we were going to be on the road. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Freehold.

Super hotel in the middle of Freehold with a historic connection.
Fabulous staff.
Would recommend to all Bruce Springsteen fans. Very safe and quiet town to see all the sites compared with Asbury Park

Newly renovated New Orleans style hotel. Great location, great food both in and around the hotel. Quiet, wonderful service and personnel.
