Travelodge Lancaster M6

We was told we had 30 minutes before we could check.we informed staff that were only wanted to leave our belongings and continue our journey.staff said unless we paid for early check in we could not leave bags.very disappointed!! Also when we came back that night we could not increase the room temperature

One end of the hallway, by the room my mother was staying stank of dog. I am aware it is dog friendly hotel, however it feels that this was not due to this (being dog friendly) but instead the poor quality of cleaning. The floor had a visible layer of hair over it, and as we were leaving we were shocked to see a robotic hoover going round one of the rooms, which i would say is far from sufficient - and would even stretch to say is lazy. I must also add, there was an additional charge for my mother to bring her dog. I would've hoped this charge would have been used for additional cleaning, but it is evident that this is not the case. The bathroom required cleaning in some areas, my mum took to cleaning her own, and was probably cleaner after she left. We paid close to £200 for two nights, and this level of cleanliness is not acceptable for this price. For a hotel stay at this cost we would expect the room to be cleaner than that of a hostel. The only positive i have to say about this room is that the bedding seemed to be clean.

A warm and friendly welcome at a convenient Travelodge for a long journey north. My room overlooked fields and the traffic sounds were only a low hum. Spotlessly clean and a great hot shower. Plenty of choice of food and snacks from the motorway services on the same site.

Person leaving premises thought it was ok to be shouting before 7am and, no soap in shower or sink... The room was comfy, although duvet opening was on the side and not at end so, found myself tangles up, during the night

When the room looks exactly like the advert you can't complain. Room was clean, well equipped for travelling and very quiet so had good nights sleep. Position of hotel was perfect for break of journey being right on the M6

Because I has things to do on Saturdays I usually leave Edinburgh around 18:00. Lancaster has been a favourite stop for me as I do not want to be too tires getting to my destination. As well as being fresh for the remainder of my journey

I was really disappointed with my stay. I’m torn as it was reasonably price and the location was perfect. The bed was also really comfortable. However, on arrival, there was no-one at reception but I must add when they appeared were really helpful. My wife and I were in 1 room and my sister and nephews the other. There was an unpleasant odour about the place. I did attempt to speak to reception in the morning about it but it was closed (which I found really weird. No-one to greet us and no-one to say goodbye). As much as we had a comfortable nights sleep, things like the carpet and decor seem very basic and cheap. The walls/floors are incredibly thin. I could here upstairs banging about and could hear their TV. I was booked into a Travelodge in London this week for a business trip but since thats 2 poor experiences, I chose to cancel and book an alternative. As mentioned above, the prices are so reasonable but even with that, I would expect the place to feel clean.

The rooms and the reception area are quite outdated and in dire need of an upgrade but it was clean. The staff were friendly and the beds were comfortable. Cheap to stay at, decent sized family room, incredibly convenient location on the motorway and very quiet

I always stay in travelodge this is the first time I have had a complaint about my room someone was smoking in the room when I opened the door the smoking smell was syringe I had to open the windows for 30 mins to clear it and it was a very cold day
