Hillview Guest House

The room was on the small side with a very small bathroom / shower. The bed was quite comfortable and there was a nice view of the Loch. Continental Breakfast was not really to our liking as although the cereal option was good there were mainly pastries and cheese slices, there were no meat or egg options which we would normally expect on a continental

We came across this delightful B&B when our other accommodation let us down at the last minute and would highly recommend it. Jane and Joe were so welcoming & are the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The Guest House is immaculate and the rooms are very tastefully decorated with high end furnishings. The view from the bedrooms at the front of the property are breathtaking - waking up to the sun shining on the water is the best! The attention to detail didn't go unnoticed - little touches like decent sized mugs in the room instead of small cups was a welcome change with an ample supply of tea/coffee, milk & even Biscoff biscuits! The breakfast layout was impressive with a wide choice of cereals and cooked breakfast of your choice all served on lovely Portmerion tableware - even the little sugar spoons matched! The smell of fresh flowers in the lounge was much appreciated as was the lovely front garden and pots full of bedding plants. The rear garden also looks stunning from the photos although we didn't venture out the back as we only stayed for one night. You can tell a lot of love and attention is afforded to this accommodation and we can't wait to return and spend longer here. We stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time with Jane and Joe. The accommodation was excellent and spotlessly clean. The extensive breakfast menu, breakfast ordered the night before so it could be cooked fresh, was a delight with everything and more that you could wish for to start the day. There is a guest lounge with books and board games and an open fire that I expect is very welcoming in winter. It was also lovely in an evening to sit on the patio at the front overlooking the loch. If we go back up to Fort William we would have no hesitation in booking to stay here again.
