I had a very pleasant stay in a clean comfortable room, and was well looked after.

A great find. Very quiet area, but well placed. Ample parking on street, not much more than 10 minutes walk to station. Friendly and welcoming host. Good breakfast.

Spotlessly clean! Host welcoming knowledgeable and helpful about surrounding area and points of interest. No issue for us as was clear on description room we booked was shared toilet/shower facility not en suite. It is a 'traditional ' b&b-youre staying in a room in hosts home which again suited us as we wanted to be out and about during the day but guests should note theres no lounge for guest use

Very friendly and cosy. Very well located. Lots of thought had gone into providing everything guests might need. It is a shared bathroom which could put some people off. Room was a little cramped but comfortable. Good breakfast. Good value overall.

Very peaceful. Very nice host. Quality mattress on bed. Beautiful view from room. Would stay again if up that way.

Stayed on a Saturday night with Barbara. The room supplied was ample for 2 people and although it was a shared bathroom it was spotless. The house is in a nice area but is a few minutes drive to the town centre which again was not an issue. Breakfast was of a good quality and Barbara answered informatively on any question I had about the local area. I personally think comments from other travelers around the clutter and stairs are unwarranted. There are many bookcases around the property but they merely display the owner's interests. Again I'm late 50s and didn't have any issues with a few steps. This reasonably priced accommodation that does what it should and I would recommend.

VERY POOR. Its not a hotel, basically someones house. The rules are ridiculous. I arrived at 16:00 and despite being told that the room was ready I was told that I had to wait until 5pm to go in because the owners "needed to go to the shops" they then came back later than 5pm and I had to sleep in my car. I was then told that I was not allowed in the hotel (which I paid for) form the hours of 9:30 AM to 5PM on any day which is ridiculous as most people come here to hike and will be exhausted the next day. As people come to hike they need to leave early so dont expect breakfast as it only runs from 7:30 to 9 - a very poor business tactic for skimping on serving food. The toilet was clean, the room was okay, with a used teabag in my mug, and a couple of dead insects about. The staff were abrupt, and with no knowledge of the local area (they didnt know anywhere to have dinner). Parking is on the street. Overall very poor experience and not worth the price.
