Villa Angela Hotel & Spa

I stayed here for the third time to play in the annual international chess tournament and I had another very nice stay. I got a taxi from the airport to the Molo Beverello which took 15 minutes and cost €30. I bought a ticket on the Alilauro aliscafo to Forio for €20.70 plus €2.10 for my suitcase. I called the hotel and spoke to Giuseppina at reception, who is always very kind and helpful and she said she would have someone pick me up. The journey took 1hr 15mins. Giovanni, who plays chess and runs the hotel with his brother Giuseppe, met me when I got off the hydrofoil and drove me back to the hotel where I said hello to Giuseppe, Giuseppina and the twin sisters Annalisa and Francesca. They are all really friendly and accommodating. My suitcase was brought up to my room rapidly, an extra pillow too and when I wanted to change rooms they even brought the double mattress to the new room which had two single mattresses. The outdoor pool is a bit small but it's very warm, about 33°C and there is also a small indoor pool. There is a very small exercise room and it would be nice to see some new equipment in there as everything is very old, at least a decent bike and treadmill and some barbells.You can walk down a steep hill to Citara beach with coarse sand. The sea temperature was 27°C at the beginning of July. You can get a taxi or a bus back up to the hotel. The housekeeper, Vera, who always looks after me, is wonderful and my room was always spotless. There are Italian sockets in the rooms with three holes so you may need an adapter which they will provide along with a mosquito plug. There is a minibar and a/c in the room. The waiters in the restaurant are also really friendly and attentive, Gino, his son Piepaolo, Angelo and Antonio. You can choose breakfast only, half board or full board. The food is fine and you get an antipasto, a primo piatto of pasta or rice, a main course of fish or meat and a dessert of fruit, cake or ice cream. You can sit inside or on the terrace or in the garden. If you want a really great restaurant you can go to Saturnino in Forio. Luigi who works at the hotel and also has his own taxi service will take you into town for €10 instead of €15. In the evenings you can sit in the bar or the garden and be served by Nello or Franco but make sure you spray on plenty of mosquito repellent and also be aware that the humidity is very high, about 83%. I would like to thank all the staff for a great stay and am looking forward to going back there next summer.

Sono stato ospite dell'hotel nell'ultima settimana di maggio. Staff gentilissimo e disponibile. La stanza carina ed accogliente. Non mancava proprio nulla. La struttura è bella, accogliente, familiare, con molto verde ben curato, armonioso. La piscina riscaldata interna bella, pulita e davvero rilassante, così come quella esterna immersa nel verde. C'è anche la possibilità di usufruire di sedute idropiniche, fanghi, massaggi ecc. Eravamo a mezza pensione, ma abbiamo mangiato bene. Un consiglio per spostarvi nell'isola, fate l'abbonamento e viaggiate con il bus... comodissimo.

Un très bon Hotel, avec une équipe très sympathique. La restauration est savoureuse et de qualité. Les piscines d’eau chaude sont aussi un vrai plus le seul petit bémol reste l’isolation phonique des chambres mais cela reste un détail. Allez-y, les yeux fermés

I luoghi che ami ti fanno sentire a casa. Questo è il terzo anno che ritorniamo nella medesima location, perché nella sconfinata offerta ischitana è quello in cui ci siamo sentiti più a nostro agio. Stesso giardino profumato, stessa spiaggia, stesso mare 💕 che per altro è a due passi ed è bellissima (citara) ! Unico consiglio: non dimenticate il repellente per le zanzare!

eccellente esperienza. I titolari gran brave persone! il personale educato, cordiale e affettuoso, hanno reso la vacanza ancora piu' bella. Ringrazio Luigi, Antonio, Angelo e le gemelle della reception... non solo, ringrazio anche il personale che si occupa del Bar ed il personale addetto alla pulizia delle camere . Mi sono sentita a casa. I servizi offerti eccellenti e le due piscine termali molto salutari. Il cibo ottimo!!! complimenti anche al cuoco!! Ci ritorno sicuramente.

È stata una settimana da incubo non la consiglierei a nessuno… non è affatto come descrive… è un posto trascurato,c’è poco personale, stanze sporche, asciugamani sporchi… non riesco a credere che io e il mio ragazzo ne siamo usciti vivi… Il primo giorno volevamo scapparcene di li,abbiamo avuto problemi con la stanza perché abbiamo ordinato una stanza grande con un bagno grande pagando la differenza,ma ci hanno fatto entrare in una stanza che era un tugurio,totalmente diversa e siamo andati a parlare con il proprietario l’unica cosa che ci ha detto è stata ragazzi potete scegliere voi che stanza volete,con un tono scontroso nei nostri confronti… La piscina non ne parliamo nelle foto acqua trasparente dal vivo acqua verde, noi come altri ragazzi ci siamo presi l’eritema… Gli asciugamani reclamati da tante persone perché erano sporche di trucco,lenzuola sporche… Bottiglie d’acqua pagate al giorno €2,50 nelle condizioni che vedete in foto i primi due giorni abbiamo bevuto quell’acqua… poi siamo andati al minimarchet e abbiamo comprato la confezione dell’acqua è così abbiamo fatto per tutta la settimana… il personale è stato diciamo l’unica cosa più curata rispetto al resto… Noi abbiamo fatto amicizia e non pensavamo a tutto questo …

Sono ospite di questo hotel e devo dire che è stata una piacevolissima sospresa. Accoglienza speciale, location stupenda, immersa in un giardino tropicale incredibile. Camere in stile coloniale ben curate e soprattutto molto ordine e pulizia. L'hotel offre due piscine, una esterna ed una interna con idromassaggio. Centro benessere attrezzato. Ottima cucina a soddisfare anche i palati dedicati. L'hotel dista qualche centinaio di metri dal mare che si può raggiungere a piedi o con l'autobus con fermata accanto all'albergo. Mi hanno colpito l'attenzione e la cura del cliente. Grazie ai proprietari ed allo staff.

Il titolo già dice tutto!!Delusione totale nel vero senso della parola.Non so come facciano a scrivere tutte queste recensioni positive,essendo che di positivo c’è ben poco,a parte il cibo e il personale molto cordiale! Inanzitto la struttura si presentava molto datata e trascurata.Camere non molto pulite con asciugamani macchiati e mal odoranti! Coperte e lenzuola strappate e consumate. Tovaglie mai cambiate,ma soltanto pulite da stracci umidi a tal punto che le braccia attaccavano sopra! Posate e bicchieri sempre macchiati. Piscina interna ed esterna sempre sporche e mal funzionanti. È stato il soggiorno peggiore della mia vita. Non lo consiglierei a nessuno Mi spiace solo per aver sprecato una settimana di ferie in un posto simile! A mai più😡

E' strano leggere tutte queste recensioni positive per questa struttura, l'albergo è vecchio, le stanze, la piscina ed i locali comuni andrebbero tutti rimodernati e tenuti molto meglio La posizione risulta essere piuttosto isolata per cui risulta necessario prendere la navetta (messa a disposizione dalla struttura) oppure prendere la macchina per andare verso le spiagge o fare una passeggiata a Forio In estrema sintesi : SCONSIGLIATO
