Dar El Bali

Stepping into Dar el Bali was magical. Elodie and her family, Belgian expats, have done a marvelous job creating an oasis inside of the medina. The space is both traditionally Moroccan and contemporary, the bedrooms are comfortable, breakfasts are simple and delicious, and waking up to the canary's songs was special. The dar is well-situated and well-appointed. It is also well-priced for the quality of the stay you're sure to have.

We had an incredible stay at Dar el Bali. The hotel is extremely well located in the haert of the Medina (the old town), and very accessible as it is located between the two main streets and near different entrances of the old town. Within the hotel itself it is super quiet and peaceful, with a lovely rooftop where we enjoyed drinks and beautiful sunsets. We have never met hosts that were as nice, welcoming and interesting as Michel, Cathy and Elodie. They know how to manage a hotel and how to make people feel at home. It was so interesting (and fun) to talk with them about a.o. the local culture and their experience as europeans in Morocco. They perfectly know how to keep a good balance between exchanging with guests (when the latter wish so) and respecting their privacy. The visits and travels were perfectly organised by Dar el Bali, just like reservations for diner and/or drinks at other places in Fès. However, we would recommend everyone to enjoy a diner (or more) at the hotel itself, because the cooking skills of the chef and the atmosphere in the patio are great. One of the stays that we have enjoyed the most during our many travels. Highly recommend the place.

It was really great, nice rooms, warm welcome and help with booking our tour and cooking class. At the last day we found out there were 2 terraces. It would have been nice to know this at the start of our stay. Maybe good to offer a little tour trough the hotel at the start of the stay?

Un service extraordinaire ou katty Michel et Elodie se coupent en quatre pour vous combler ! Chambres spacieuses et confortables repas excellents et ambiance chaleureuse et familiale on les quitte le cœur rempli de bons souvenirs et on pense déjà à y revenir merci beaucoup bisous bisous une mention spéciale à Asma pour l excellente journée passée à Atlas Crown merci pour sa gentillesse vis à vis des cavaliers débutants que nous étions pour certains

Magnifique ! Tout est beau, tout est bon, tout est agréable : Cathy, Michel et Elodie vous réservent un accueil chaleureux, familial, avec plein de conseils sur Fès et les visites à faire. Petit déjeuner exquis où tout est frais et fait maison. Un séjour délicieux.

Magnifique endroit avec des propriétaires merveilleux à l'écoute des hôtes...ils vous donnent de bons conseils....séjour parfait. Une première fois en 2021,deuxième fois....vivement les prochaines fois!🥰

Dar El Bali est de loin l'endroit où nous avons séjourné près d'une semaine sans qu'une seule seconde ne soit un moment de plaisir. C'est de très loin l'hôtel-maison que j'aurais le plus apprécié de ce séjour, Tout est joli, soigné, décoré avec goût et respect de l'esthétique locale. Catherine, Elodie et Michel sont là pour vous servir, vous renseigner, discuter du Maroc et/ou de Fès en particulier. Mais si vous voulez rester dans votre bulle, ce ne sont pas eux qui viendront vous perturber. Tout en délicatesse et subtilité. J'espère vraiment revenir à Fès pour retrouver cette si belle maison.

Très bon accueil avec une équipe très serviable et compétente pour tous conseils . L’emplacement est idéal, bien placé dans la Médina. Notre chambre spacieuse et très beaux Riad avec de bons petits déjeuner . Une très bonne adresse à recommander
