Just the most beautiful spot in Ella. Such friendly staff, perfect location to walk to the town but also escape the hustle. The view was just a dream I barely wanted to leave. And the breakfast was great and included. I stayed in some high end accommodation and honestly this was one of my favourites and so budget.

We spent two nights here and we were comfortable even though the room was basic. Breakfast on the balcony was lovely - great food and lovely view. There’s a short, steep climb back home after going down to the main street, so you will give your calves a good stretch, but it’s worth it for the view of Little Adam’s Peak that you get in the morning. Overall a very good choice of accommodation in a small, quiet and friendly guesthouse.

First things first, the hotel is in a great location. A 2 minute walk away from the main street, a 10 minute (perhaps less) to the train station and a short distance from the key hikes. The hotel room is simply decorated and perhaps a little rough around the edges. But it's clean, quiet and charming. I had a room with two single beds, but it was easy enough to push them together. The host is really helpful and friendly, and breakfast was great!

I cannot recommend Poomaz Peace Palace highly enough! The location is fantastic only a few minutes walk to the main street, yet it's tucked away enough so you are not disturbed by any noise from the town. The room we had was so large and spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Although hot water took a little while to come through as it's all solar, it was piping hot! The only negative I could say is that the water pressure in the shower could be better. The breakfast served out on your own private little table on the shared balcony was one of the highlights of our whole Sri Lanka trip - the food was so tasty, and coupled with the views of Ella Rock made for a fantastic start to each morning. Poorna was easily reachable if you had any questions or needed advice and his and his team's service was absolutely superb - thank you for a very memorable stay.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. Would highly recommend this family run guest house for anyone staying in Ella. Ideally situated for everything. The staff are brilliant and the breakfast is great. The rooms are clean with both fridge and kettle, and if there is anything you need, you only have to ask, from details of local attractions to taxis. Will definitely be back.

A beautiful stay just a two minute walk from the town centre. The cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel were of the highest quality and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast on the balcony with a lovely view of the misty hills surrounded by greenery was tasty and generous. Poorna was a lovely host and we enjoyed our one night stay here. Highly recommended if you want to be close to town but without the accompanying noise.

A pleasant place, with a wonderful view of the mountains. Cozy, clean room, kind host. The hotel is located in the center of Ella, a little removed from the road and there is no noise at night. The nine-arch bridge and the small Adam Peak can be reached on foot.

The host is very nice and welcoming and easy to talk to since he speaks good English. room is clean, the location is exactly what we wanted- The place is close to the Main Street but in a quiet area. Breakfast was great and varied, we really enjoyed it!

Location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, which is full of restaurants and shops. Great night life every day. Host was extremely nice and the breakfast was excellent. We received teas and welcome or cooling drinks everytime when we needed (without asking).
