Generally a 1st class experience with everything functioning very well, starting already at the arrival, with a glass of "bubbles" in the spacy and pleasant reception area, duly attended by the competent staff there. Our wish for a quiet room away from bar and pool noise, but still with sea view towards west, was heeded - as best they could. When that is said, here are the few "thumb downs" that I would mention: Our room then on the other hand had an open back entrance quite affected by the evening entertainment in the amphie-theatre. It was nice to be able to step outside on the "shadow side" and look towards the mountains. The entertainment for children and teens there is certainly also commendable, but it should stop at 10 pm - AND/OR the shouting by the entertainers (using microphone and reminding one a sports commentator), even at 10.30, should be scaled down. But it did end around that time. I am sure that in this small theatre, everbody will easily hear the "cheer" even without a microphone!! In short, there seems to be no real "evening quiet" anywhere in the hotel - except perhaps for the less attractive rooms facing the pathway at the southern side. But as said, it DOES NOT affect your sleep after 10.30-11.00 pm. The overconsumption of towels - even in the year 2023 when environment and climate is a top priority - should be seriously reconsidered. Already many years ago hotels in other countries had more focus on reducing unnecessary washing of towels. - Every day new towels were placed, even on the beds around the pools. I can understand that re-use of beach towels may be difficult, as few people will take them to their rooms, dry them and use them again the next day, but at the pools it should only be an OPTION to get a new one every day. At both places new towels should NOT automatically be placed on sunbeds. They could be "for handout" on request - just as I saw at the beach on Lucy Hotel in Kavala in 2017, and there could be sign posts at pools and at the beach saying, e.g. "PLEASE USE YOUR TOWELS FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT. NEW TOWELS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE STEWARD ON YOUR REQUEST". ! The menu of the taverna is a bit strange. Some appetizers are actually as big as main courses. So long as you know that the "Fried calamares..." can actually serve as a main course it is fine, but the grouping should be reviewed. Also, the menu is lacking Greek specialities, like Kleftiko. We were very happy with the 1/4 wines. Both white, rosé and red were excellent quality - contrary to what is often the case with small bottles. Also the compliment desert of a small "baclava", a scoop of ice cream and/or water melon was appreciated. The area is very beatiful, but unless you go for a total relaxation holiday at the premises, a car is recommended to go to the Eastern side for the very best beaches and to go around the Peninsular. The sourther tip, with a view towards Mount Athos is stunning. We hire a car from a local company
