Stayed for a week at the end of January for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday. First impressions the hill that the hotel is situated on is very steep, if you have mobility issues this may not be suitable however it did not affect us. The lobby is spacious and very modern. We were quickly checked in and directed to our room (superior sea view on the 3rd floor). Room was clean, modern and minimalistic. Large bottle of water in the room on arrival which can be filled from the many drinking water dispensers around the hotel. Balcony was nice, and the view was lovely. Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied. Seen a lot of negative reviews regarding lack of sunbeds around the pool, I reckon these are nonsense. We would finish breakfast around 9:30 and were easily able to find sunbeds in good positions. Not sure what people are moaning about? Music played around the pool was nice, and the bar served good drinks on the all inclusive. Entertainment was fun, different activities during the day and always something happening in the evening. Massive shoutout to Goofy, my dancing partner 😂 Food was OK. Not outstanding but always a fair amount of choice and we never went hungry. Overall we had a very positive experience, and a lovely stay.

We had a last minute holiday, booked one day, arrived the next. 4* to get something nice. It is nice, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite, far more room than necessary, 3 balconies and totally spotless. Sounds good yes? We arrived at 22.50 , no food available and all inclusive drinks stop at 23:00. After travelling since 11am a snack would have been appreciated. No apologies, flat no. On entering the room, beautiful, no kettle and can't hire one (which I personally refused to do) until the morning. It hadn't started well, but, we're gonna make the best of it. Booked trips the next day after a comfortable night, the beds are so comfortable, and got on with exploring and settling in. The towels need a refundable deposit, and the safe had a fee. Food, mediocre at best Location, ok if you enjoy walking in steep situations, the hotel is on a challenging hill, with steps/slope access into the resort. We took taxi each way in the evenings, around €5 each way, there a free bus during the day at selected times. ALL THIS POSITIVE INFO ..... Now resumed into the fact that the hotel was over run by schools on trips. It was like eating 3 times a day in a school hall. Kids having fun, ok, but consideration of others would be nice. The noise created prevented/spoilt/interrupted sleep, reading and general peace throughout our 10 days away. Entertainment was sp****, but expected in April, and please done expect this hotel to have a mainly English clientele, the quiz was interesting, read in 4 languages. Making connections was hard therefore. We decided, to have a nice time regardless of the challenges. (Cleaners kept forgetting to clean our room). Staff terribly pleasant, work really hard and very helpful. Home seems a very attractive place, I need another holiday, but I'll not be returning. I hope others experiences are more positive.

Droves of Spanish school children (around 100 at any one time) ruined the atmosphere completely. If it wasn’t the constant shouting and jeering at each other across balconies or around the pool, it was clearing the buffet leaving nothing for other guests and knocking on hotel doors well after midnight. When you pay around £750 each for a week, you expect a 4* service. This was not it. The food is average. The hot food is cold and the cold food is often warm. Very limited drinks included on the all inclusive also. SHOULD BE REBRANDED AS A YOUTH HOSTEL

Clean hotel, friendly staff, pretty location apart from the big hill. Food isn’t always hot enough and desserts aren’t always cold enough is a big downfall. Good enough selection if you are a seafood lover which we are not too keen. Biggest downfall that would put us off ever coming back is the droves of school kids constantly. I did read reviews previous prior to booking, but thought there is plenty of good reviews we will be ok, how wrong was i ,you feel like your an uninvited guest on a school trip, not the trip you’d spend money and enjoy to relax and unwind so unfortunately I’d say avoid this hotel.

Don’t go ! Food was terrible. Upper management should secretly get someone to eat there . Noisy hordes of students . Great if you like door banged at 1.30 am and the pools taken over . Very kind reception and brilliant cleaners . Otherwise avoid . Should be 2 star at most . Dissatisfied

Enjoying our time so far at Fergus hotel, staff friendly and helpful. No complaints at this time. Attended a cocktail demonstration which was fun. Though it is a shame there are not more cocktails and choice included for those staying all inclusive. The demonstrated cocktail costs around €6. It would have been useful to know what is included before booking as this is not what I expected. Room clean and spacious, some repairs required to the toilet seat and thermostat but do not impact stay so far. Located well for the beach and exploring locally. Close to supermarket etc. Food as expected from a budget all inclusive, decent choice.

We stayed at Fergus Puerto de la Cruz for a long weekend. The hotel is beautifully clean. There are two pools. The kids /youths tended to use the top pool leaving the adults to relax around the leafy surrounded pool . The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, like a leafy dream . We had a suite and it was huge! 2 balconies, a MASSIVE bed and a sofa. The shower was powerful and the toiletries also nice. The bed was really comfy and the air con very effective. We had a peaceful night sleep. Super quiet and no noise at all. The food in the restaurant was faultless. Lots of variety for all. The breakfast was superb with a full fry up , fresh fruit , Pastores, churros and pancakes available every day. The cocktails were also delicious. Honestly the only fault is that there were a lot of school children (on a school trip perhaps?) but they kept to the top pool and were out most of the time. It's a lovely hotel with lovely decor and great food. Id happily go back in a heartbeat. Not much for children to do, but perfect for older children or couples.
