Been open again for a few months after a 3-year pause due to horrible Covid policies by the govt. The hotel is still in good shape and has a soft-toned elegance. The location isn't the best for walking - Durban is a dangerous city and the hotel is not right on the beach. Service was top notch and the restaurant is on the expensive side, but not shocking. Room is lovely, elegant but not extravagant.

Luxury experience, professional staff at both reception and restaurant with great hospitality. Great variety of choice and nutritious food at breakfast. Spacious and clean rooms with comfortable bed and great amenities. We had a great stay. Thank you!

服務和環境都還不錯,就是屋裡麪的設施有些舊了,但也是相對而言,總得來説入住感受還是不錯的

Отличный завтрак, отличная шведская линия , сервис хороший, номер и вид из номера отличный. Отель для бизнеса , проведения конференций, больших мероприятий отличный. Предполагает большой масштаб.

We had been looking forward to visiting newly reopened Hilton Durban, for some time and finally did so two weeks ago. Although only 100 of the 324 rooms are currently in use, as part of a phased reopening of the entire hotel, the warm welcoming atmosphere and personalised service exceeded our expectations! The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Durban, bordering on the Durban International Convention Centre, incredibly well positioned opposite the Durban Exhibition Centre and not too far from the Durban Beach Front. The rooms are beautifully designed with modern amenities, including comfortable beds, an HDTV, and complimentary WiFi1. Their executive suites are top notch and we also received complimentary access to the Business Lounge, with complimentary drinks and snacks, and top class service from Siphiwe. The staff at the Hilton Durban were exceptionally receptive and attentive. Mluleki was kind and happy to go over and beyond to guarantee us a memorable stay. But then again, the Hilton is well regarded for its outstanding service. The hotel's amenities, such as the outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre proved to be a great attraction for young and old, especially the pool and outdoor chilling area which is a popular spot for unwinding after a busy day of exploring the city.

Stayed at the Hilton Durban for 10 days and received outstanding service from the team throughout. Special mention to Thandeka , front line supervisor, for making our stay extra special. She remembered us from our previous stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Durban! Thandeka consistently delivers brilliant customer service to all guests and makes them feel very special ! Gerri the concierge was extremely helpful and greeted us warmly everyday during our stay Special mention to Owen the barman , who was very professional and welcoming Brandon the F&D Manager put together a personalised allergy free food menu that we enjoyed each evening in the restaurant- he also ensured his team were made aware of the food allergy Attention to detail and exemplary customer service is why we use the Hilton brand and this particular hotel consistently delivers. We look forward to our next stay at the Hilton Durban

We recently stayed at the Hilton Durban and had a truly fantastic experience. From check-in to check-out, everything exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Thandeka at reception, who gave us the warmest welcome and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Her kindness and attention to detail really made all the difference and added a personal touch that we truly appreciated. The hotel itself is fantastic – clean, modern, and perfectly located. One standout for us was their special suhur menu, thoughtfully prepared for guests who are fasting during Ramadan. It was convenient, delicious, and showed the hotel’s genuine care and consideration for all guests needs during this special time. Hilton Durban exceeded our expectations, and it’s the incredible service from staff like Thandeka that will definitely bring us back again. Highly recommended!

The rooms were fabulous. Top quality no question. No scratches, chips, dents, no tired furniture. All near as a new pin. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Well appointed gymnasium. However the swimming pool was too cold. I do a lot of swimming and I would suggest that it was about 18°. I come from a colder climate so that can still work for me but for most people, unless they are from northern Europe, they will be disappointed. The reason is obvious. It gets very little sun. This is a design fault with replacement of the pool. And presumably to save costs, the pool is not heated. As a result I was the only one there. We had room service and this is where we got a surprise. There was no alcohol in the hotel . None. I thought I was in the Middle East. Some issue with licenses. The food was a pleasant surprise though. Also, the parking was inexpensive and as always in SA the staff are very helpful and friendly. By the way, their ultra fast Wi-Fi on their executive floor was a good example of hyperbole. It was not fast at all.

A terrible property and terrible staff. The security guard provides you the key on an envelop, you don’t need to provide any information. When you arrive in your rooms it’s terrible smelly and shockingly poor. No water, no diamond status benefits provided dirty toilet and used linen. I called front desk to complain about not recognised as a diamond member told if should leave that was shortly before midnight I told him that’s “bull????” an altercation took place and had to leave the hotel before midnight Emails and messages content general manager and Hilton remain unanswered and not even acknowledged. It’s terrible avoid at any cost
