I wanted this to be a great stay but it wasn't. It is way off the beaten path which should be good for peace and quiet and great views. Unfortunately, the owner has a pack of dogs 10+ that will bark at each other constantly day and night. There is NO peace and quiet here. The rooms are up a large amount of stairs and have a view of a tin roof from the walk way. The heaters are inadequate for the winter chill. The wifi is unstable and almost unusable. This is the only place I stayed in my 2 week trip in Bhutan where the staff are not very friendly. I did meet the owner's son in law and he said he was trying to help his father in law out and get the place back on track. (he seemed like a nice guy) They have the opportunity to make this place great but until then I would avoid IT. I canceled my stay and moved to another property after one sleepless and cold night.

"Leaving the picturesque village of Chumey and making our way to the scenic upper north valley of Bumthang - Tang, I had two amazing nights at the Chumey Nature Resort with my FIT group travelers. This wasn't the first time I visited Chumey, as it's my favorite destination every trip to Bumthang, it truly feels like a home away from home! Every guest that has ever visited the resort and taken in the wonderful scenery and the atmosphere, never wanted to leave!
