Good location! Private beach, open at 8am. Delicious breakfast. Water park is small one but my children had a fun day. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at a Lotus Desaru that, while a bit dated, was surprisingly well-maintained. The loft room was spacious, and the cleanliness was top-notch, making for a very comfortable stay. However, the hairdryer in the room was inconsistent—it worked intermittently, which was a bit frustrating. The resort has a private beach which is just a 2-3 minute walk away (if your room is near the lobby) which made it easy to enjoy the sun and sand whenever we wanted. The breakfast spread was decent, though nothing extraordinary. It had the basics. The check-in and check-out process was fast, which I appreciated. Overall, while the resort may be showing its age, it still provides a pleasant and relaxing experience.

For a resort which has been around for so many years, Lotus Desaru can be considered as very well maintained. Pricing, especially at the restaurants, remains reasonable. The water park and the swimming pools are enough to keep the kids busy. I've been there for a few times and I'd still recommend it to families with kids.

Resort exterior look ok but the room a bit rundown. Wardrobe have very strong musty smell and the furniture is a bit shabby.

The place was well maintained and cleaned. The food was good. The facilities inside were great for family. Just that it was too overly crowded. The check in process took almost 2 hours. We felt like we were at the government agency counter while waiting for the number to be called. It was not a good experience considering the amount of money we paid to book here. Everywhere inside also was super crowded. The waterpark was so full of people it felt anxious to be there. Too bad we could not get the access to the beach probably because of the monsoon season. Overall, we preferred Lotus Seaview rather than here.

It's rainy during my stay so we can't go swimming since the entrance gate to the private beach was locked for safety reasons. The only comment I have is that the buggy service is a bit insensitive towards those waiting with baby. It's raining and the buggy stops a bit far from us and want us to cross the roofless road with baby, instead of coming at us waiting at roof area just a bit in front to shelter from rain. Other than that, all good.

Everything was great except not wheelchair friendly. Had to travel far to get to anywhere. Buggy ride a bit hard for disabled that couldn't walk. Buggy driver just stay quietly and wait for people to be onboard. Luckily got 1 driver so good help us on 1 of the ride.

Nice and friendly staffs. Not bad restaurant. Especially the seafood restaurant. Morning breakfast is good. Especially get to eat breakfast facing the beach.

Need to drive there. Large resort with many rooms but not all occupied. Quite a few facilities but they obviously cannot handle if the occupancy rate is 50% or more. The "water park" is a small playground, the pool there is quite dirty and obviously not cleaned for a long time. The other deeper pool was cleaner though. The retail shop was quite well stocked and not that expensive. Breakfast was mostly Asian food, good luck if u have food allergies. Seafood restaurant was not bad. The "private beach" area is just a backdoor from the hotel, no demarcation, beach towels or beach chairs provided.

Excellent hotel with everything. 4 restaurants. Sumptuous breakfast included. Private beach and Splash water park. Few mins drive to Desaru Adventure Water Park. Would definitely stay in this hotel again. Excellent services all round. Hotel is old but surprising well kept and clean. Got very old furniture and cabinets. Just that hot water not very hot and water pressure not high.

Lots of activities for kids, especially the Splash park next to our room. Ample free parking. Excellent services. Good variety of buffet breakfast.
