Where do I start to describe this beautiful Guest House? First of all, the most wonderful, friendly welcome from the host Martyn made us feel relaxed and comfortable immediately. After five minutes he felt more like a friend we'd known for ages! We stayed in the Sandringham room and were impressed the moment we stepped through the door. It's so immaculate and well appointed with EVERYTHING and more besides! The bed and pillows were extremely comfy, and the fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality. The bathroom was sparkling clean, had a lovely wooden floor, all the products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion) were herbal, smelled gorgeous, and of top notch quality! The water was always red hot, with great pressure from a lovely big walk-in shower. In the bedroom, you had tea/coffee making facilities, with fresh milk available from a fridge in the breakfast room. Also in the fridge was a great selection of wine/beer/cider/soft drinks to help yourself, and pop the money into an honesty tin. What a brilliant idea! There was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, a fan, tissues, fleecy throws, a very comfy chesterfield sofa, and flat screen tv. The room had a lovely 'feel' and I could have quite happily spent my whole weekend just relaxing in it! However, the location of Belle Vue is simply stunning. The village itself is beautiful, and just a stones throw from Downham Market. It's a great base from which to explore Norfolk. Onto breakfast.......Wow! The choice is phenomenal, using the highest quality ingredients, all cooked by Martyn himself. It was well presented and so tasty. The menu is extensive, but if there was something you'd like that's not listed, you only had to ask. How's that for fantastic customer service? I could probably use all the superlatives in the dictionary to describe this wonderful place, and still not be able to convey just how very special it is. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that have come nowhere near this standard. Please try for yourself, you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to return.

A lovely guest house in a quiet village near downham market . Super clean and great breakfast . The rooms are well decorated with comfy beds . Martyn made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble . Will definitely return later in the year .

We have stayed in many places and the Belle Vue is one of the best. From booking to check out it was a great experience. The property is beautiful and the attention to detail and quality of the furnishings/bedding and breakfast etc would put some 4 or 5* hotels to shame. Our room "The Sandringham" was large, incredibly comfortable and clean. Breakfast was extremely good, freshy cooked to order and excellent value for money. We will be back!

A very enjoyable 2 days, as return visitors I would certainly recommend this excellent guest house. Our very comfortable room, super beds and en’suite facilities are first class as is the wonderful breakfasts and the honesty bar is well worth a mention, we shall undoubtedly return …this is our forth visit . Kind, friendly and welcoming host Martyn. Stunning looking venue with beautiful large clean rooms. So many options at breakfast and what we had tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this B&B to everyone. We will definitely be back soon!

Belle Vue Guest House has 5 stars and is well deserved. Martyn is the most excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The room and the breakfast were excellent and we will always return when in Norfolk. Highly recommended in all respects.

Lovely guest house, very welcoming and relaxed. Gorgeous old building, my room was beautiful and breakfast was 10/10. I stayed for work but would love to come back with my husband. This hotel is a real gem. Nothing negative to say! Would highly recommend.

Just back from a one night stay at the superb Belle Vue guest house. It was faultless! We had a lovely comfortable room, with attention to detail rarely seen. For example, the in-room beverages tray even had an excellent decaf coffee bag which, with fresh milk available from a fridge downstairs, was most welcome after our long drive from the North West and, although we didn’t indulge, beers, wine and other drinks were also available with an ‘honesty’ box payment arrangement. Breakfast was excellent. The choice was impressive and everything was nicely presented and served. Thank you Martyn and Lou. We’ll definitely be back! PS. For dinner there are restaurants in Downham Market just a short drive, or 20 minute walk, away.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful guesthouse. The bed was comfy and the pillows fluffy and light. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water, the complimentary soaps and body cream were a real treat. Breakfast did not disappoint. For me, it was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The host was extremely friendly but at the same time not imposing. I had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again.
