Sheikh Ali Dahab Resort

We had a fabulous week at Sheikh Ali. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are huge, very clean and comfortable. The fresh breakfast was a highlight and served on the beautiful terrace. The pool area was lovely and the kids spent many happy hours there. The location is very peaceful but close to all that Dahab has to offer (snorkelling/diving/lovely restaurants/camel rides/horse riding, the list goes on). We will definitely be back! Where do I start? This hotel is absolutely wonderful. It is spotlessly clean, the food is delicious, the rooms are cleaned daily and if you are lucky your towels are made into flowers, hearts, snakes and elephants! Breakfast is divine, fresh fruit, eggs however you like them, pancakes and falafel with mouth watering cucumber and tomato and soft cheese. The staff are the friendliest, most helpful and genuinely caring I have ever had the privilege of staying with. They are all wonderful, yet a special mention for Shereef. He is the kindest, most thoughtful gentleman and attended to every single need we possibly had before we realised we needed it! He is unbelievably attentive but in the gentlest of fashions. Mohammed too was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went above and beyond, as did Shereef. An unforgettable holiday, totally made by the outstanding staff. This is the third time we have visited Sheikh Ali and it gets better and better! The rooms are HUGE! We are a family of three and the sofa bed for my tall 15 year old is the biggest we have seen. The main bedroom has the biggest bed ever, at least super king size and so comfortable, These are not just hotel rooms, they are suites, with a dressing area in addition to the two separate sleeping areas. There are also family suites, giving even more space. The hotel is steps away from the main area, however is quiet and peaceful. The noticeable improvements, since our last trip, are the food and the Wi-Fi. The breakfast is outstanding with so many fresh choices, my favourite was the omelette followed by pancakes. We also ate lunch a few times and everything was tasty and fresh, all sourced from the hotels own organic farm - the only one in the area. A new addition is the bar area, a lovely area to relax and enjoy a drink in. The massage facilities are also amazing. The improvement in the Wi-Fi was welcomed, I had to work during the holiday and having great internet was key to me being able to do this. What really sets this hotel apart, is the service. Many of the staff have been here since the hotel opened, that speaks volumes. They are incredibly helpful, in fact the best I have ever encountered. A few examples, my son was unwell and they brought him a herbal remedy and then later breakfast to the room as he had missed it, we didn’t ask for this, it just happened! I asked for barber recommendations for my son & husband, before I knew it, appointments were booked and they were transported there - where else would you get that? Another guest was having to go out and the staff gave her an Egyptian SIM card so she could stay in touch with her driver, there are countless examples, way too many to mention. If you are looking for a 5* All Inclusive, then this is not for you, it offers personal service, great rooms and amazing hospitality. Dahab itself is charming, a wonderful relaxed seaside resort, renowned for diving and snorkelling. There are plenty of shops, restaurants etc. and the stereotype that you get hassled in Egypt, most definitely does not apply here, yes the local business’ will ask if you want to look in their shop/eat in their restaurant, a simple ‘no thanks’ and they smile and wish you well. I have been visiting Dahab for over 20 years and it just gets better and better. I have a travel business and have travelled extensively, I would thoroughly recommend Sheikh Ali if you want an authentic experience where you can walk out to local restaurants and experience the wonders of this part of Egypt. I have experienced Dahab in different ways, as a standalone sunshine break, a multi centre with Cairo & Luxor and also twinned with Sharm el Sheikh. This is a wonderful destination, whether as a solo, couple of travelling with family, I have been bringing my son here since he was 5 years old.

We are family of 5 We came here for a week End of aug 2023 This hotel is so nice Crew are Amazing My kids felt right at home Sharif took care of anything we wanted Horses , Cruz, trip to sharem Everything was brought to us In prices that you can’t find on your own - I checked 5 min walk to the beach 2 min to the main market Just perfect So put your trust on sharif and book any activity you desire

Located just off the main Mashraba ***** for convenience but very quiet. All rooms are large suites with patio or verandah and overlook the pristine pool. The staff are all welcoming, special shout out to Ahmed ( on reception) and Sherif ( manager, waiter ) Nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed in several hotels in Dahab and this is our favourite. The food in the restaurant was good ( veg from their own farm) and staff even prepared a special fish dinner for us one evening which was amazing. No pressure to eat here though, infact Sherif was happy to give recommendations for other restaurants close by. If ou are visiting Dahab I would definitely recommend this hotel.

What really makes this hotel a great experience is the staff, their attention to detail and willingness to do anything to make your stay a happy one. The rooms are huge with a large sitting room area, plenty of space for cases, clothes and a large bathroom with great walk in shower.

This resort is fantastic and trustworthy for connection to the desert locations, since the owner Gabaly is bedouin himself. That is the primary reason we stayed here. The staff's goal is to make you feel at home, and they definitely did that. We stayed for 6 nights, and they can book for the surrounding bedouin camps to see Serabit el-Khadim, St. Catherine's monastery etc. Their daughter Neama can book for you, and they will look after the drivers as well. They arranged a driver service return from and to the border at Taba (or from Cairo too I can imagine). General manager Karim looked after many details. I recommend you work through them, since there are so many checkpoints along the way. The kitchen staff love to serve, are prompt, and the food menu has delicious options. The rooms are very large, and we took the option of king size bed. It's very clean. The staff are industrious and take pride in their hospitality too! Several Family members took the time to meet us personally. I can't say there was anything negative to report. You will love to stay at this resort! I can recommend it 10/10!

This is an excellent hotel, owned and run by the local bedouin sheikh and his family members. It has its own organic farm to supply its vegetables. They can arrange visits. The rooms are suites rather than rooms . Ours had a vast double bed
