We were looking forward to staying here given it’s rating. We were surprised to arrive and find no one there and a note on the window telling us which unit was ours. The weather was fine but cold, about 5 degrees outside. While the heater was on there was a chill in the room so we turned the temperature up high however according to the heater it never got past 15 degrees overnight. The addition blanket helped but still a cool night. A stand alone heater was provided the next day which solved the heating problem which was really appreciated. While the view is so good, the room was a little disappointing as there were cobwebs in corners and around the ceiling in both the main room and around the window in the bathroom - not what we expected! We also didn’t expect to have to do our dishes before we left or be fined $25 if we didn’t. Would we stay here again, probably not!

Great location on Curio Bay with amazing views and the beach just off the front lawn. There was a cooktop and microwave so we were able to make dinner. The unit was warm and cosy despite the wild weather outside. There was a bit of noise from the apartment upstairs but nothing major. Good spot to stay on a Catlins trip.

Great apartment, wonderful views. You can see the Hector Dolphins from the widows. Everything you could ever want. Stayed there 10 times, hope to be Bach next Year.Grwat hosts, very private. Take plenty of food with you ,not many places to eat.

This place was excellent and exactly what I needed having come from a much more isolating place which made me feel better and more free!! Waking up before sunrise each morning of my stays were definitely the highlights! And a shout out to Damon for helping me with my tire!! What a legend!! Will definitely be back in the future!! 😃

Amazing top floor apartment with excellent amenities. Views were superb - able to watch Hector's dolphins from the balcony. Right in the beach so access was right there. Unbeatable location and accommodation. The facilities at the camp-site meant there was a cafe walking distance. Also easy viewing of Hoiho penguins. Make sure you bring your midgey spray!!

What a beautiful room in an amazing place. So peaceful, direct view over the beach. Highly recommend it. Everything you need in the room. I have to write 200 characters to submit this review. Excellent

Nice warm, tidy and clean rooms / facilities. Owners very helpful. Awesome view from room - we watched Hectors dolphins frolic in the waves. Bit of noise from other rooms and upstairs, but nothing intrusive.

Great set up here with a big room and kitchen facilities. Make sure you bring some food because the shops are 30 minutes away. But the views are spectacular. We saw dolphins playing in the waves from our lounge chairs.

Lovely stay at Salthouse. Room was comfortable, warm and clean. It was really nice arriving on a windy and rainy day to go into a room where they had taken the time to put the heater on. Easy check in process including a text on the day which was appreciated. Excellent kitchen facility. Fabulous views. Only downfall, was carpark is very tight and we had a single room on the bottom and unfortunately the people staying above us were very noisy.
