The receptionist was very friendly, she upgraded us to a bigger room. The room was clean, I can’t believe for this price the hotel was so nice and convenient

Terrible attitude from the front desk staff. The clerk managed to mix up the rooms allocated to our party and then, rather arrogantly, blamed us for swapping rooms, when in reality I had to change rooms because the heater in the original room was not working. I even apologised in case there had been any misunderstanding after a long journey, but instead of trying to resolve the situation professionally, she replied that she was also tired. To make matters worse, it later became clear that the confusion stemmed from the room allocation system itself, with room numbers being noted on a piece of paper with handwritten markings. If it had not been for the other member of staff, who remained calm, understanding, and helpful throughout, I would have packed my belongings and left immediately. This is simply not the right way to treat paying guests. Customer service should focus on resolving problems, not shifting blame. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression of what could otherwise have been a pleasant stay

It's quick and easy to get to Gatwick airport from this hotel. It's very basic but has what you need for a short stay.

We paid for a basic double room with breakfast and ended up with the lodge room. It was tiny, couldnt open up our cases. The toilet roll holder was missing the holder and toilet roll keep falling to the ground. Room smelt damp upon entering. As it was a warm day, couldnt sleep well. There was no air conditioning nor a fan. It was so warm. Would not recommend it to any of my friends.

The service was very good as we arrived very late. Was helpful and nice. Easy stay and drive to the airport The bar look big and nice, closed when got there ooo well Nice size room

Very nice accommodation

Lovely greeting. All very straight forward. Was an evening check-in so we were tired. Hotel looked a tad tired too - seen better days. Ground floor room so didn’t feel secure opening window at night. Turned radiator off to cool room down for sleeping. Was a stuffy nights sleep but a good sleep considering. Comfy, clean bed. Smoke alarm flashing green light was annoying - but I managed to sleep away fm facing it. Breakfast was just ok - a little disappointing. Sausages only ok. Scrambled eggs a bit rubbery. Mushrooms dry and tasteless. Bacon and fried bread good. Toast and spreads and hot drinks machine ok. Shame couldn’t take fresh coffee fm machine back to room … there was a notice saying not allowed. Basic bathroom as expected with shower hvg plenty of hot water … win. No-one on desk when left … box to post door key into.

Best ever recommendation for a short term stay near Gatwick

I was dreading staying at the Europa Hotel Gatwick, given its budget status, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The hotel looks much better in person than it does in the pictures online, which was a nice surprise. As for the sleep, you really do get what you pay for — it wasn't the most luxurious, but for a budget option, it was decent enough. Overall, it exceeded my expectations for the price, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple,

The quality of food not good the rom was very dark

Nice location and the hotel had a spa out the back that cost only £4 for use of Sauna, Steam room, Jacuzzi, and 10m Swimming Pool. Towels were only an extra £1 to hire whilst there so a very reasonable £5 for an afternoon of relaxation. The hotel itself was pleasant whilst a little dated but this meant large rooms with plenty of space without bumping in to each other when moving around. The shower was in the bath which was reasonable with warm but NOT hot water. The tap on the sink could only be described as explosive when it was turned on and sprayed forward and onto anyone standing in front of the sink unless you did it very gently and only turned on about a 10th of it's full capacity.

Staying here is like stepping into a living museum of how UK hotels gave up trying. The lobby is full of pensioners getting plastered like it’s Liverpool Street Station at 1am on Saturday, the floorboards creak like they’re filing a complaint, and the bathroom sink has one mission: to spray your trousers so you look freshly wet for your flight. Massive warning signs cover the walls, as if management knows the building itself is plotting against you. And don’t bother clinging to the comfort of a checkout time — staff just barge in early, presumably to check you haven’t escaped through the window. Yes, it’s close to Gatwick. But so is dignity, and you won’t find any of that here.

Very easy to find. Perfect for what I was looking for.
