I love staying at the Richard Onslow. This was the second time I have been. The staff are always so friendly and the rooms are so clean and comfortable and the food is tasty and hot. Although it’s a pub there was no noise at all. It was perfect for my stay.

£82.50 room only expensive!!Lovely place ,great staff ,good food ,good beer ,great room apart from NO Toilet paper or holder !! .............................................................................................

Good menu choice and table service. Seems to be a popular local pub / hotel with one or two good draft beers, as well as reasonably good dining venue in the centre of town.

Everything you would hope for in a B&B. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room with ensuite bathroom, safe parking on site, and the most delicious breakfast - perfectly cooked, top quality ingredients and served with a smile. We would not hesitate to stay again.

I have been staying for 7 nights in this pleasant old country pub/hotel. I stayed in room 1, which is very cosy and features exposed beams and a large bathroom with a freestanding tub. Overall the whole property has been renovated very tastefully, still preserving the Charme of a building dating back to the 17th century. The breakfast was every day very good, there was enough choice to have a different one every day. Staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and professional. I will definitely return when the occasion arises. Inge

Easy on site parking. We received a warm welcome. The room was modern, clean and spacious. There was a large shower in the en-suite with plenty of hot water. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The full English breakfast was really good. Central location

Friendly staff, really large modern comfy warm room, excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast. And it is a great, busy pub with a good selection of (proper) beers.
Even the problem with a slow draining shower tray in the morning (reported and being dealt with) didn't dampen a really relaxing overnight stay. Will return next time we are anywhere in the area.

Nice pub and hotel. The food was good and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom shower was very small and enclosed. The staff were friendly and the location had a lot of shopping around it

Visited the pub with my wife to try there new menu. Disappointed straight away when at 7.45 on a Saturday we were informed of the dishes not available. Starters were fine, not so the mains. My wife ordered the beef pie, this was well over cooked , with a side of creamed spinach, this was watery not creamy. I had a the burger and for £16, underwhelmed, picnic sized. We sent the pie and spinach back. The staff, who were excellent., couldn't have been more apologetic. We were offered a replacement meal, which we declined. They then offered us a complimentary drink which we accepted. Not going to rushing back. Staff 10/10 food 1/10
