Hotel Villa Marsili

My mom and I stayed here for 4 nights this April/May for our birthday trip to Italy. Cortona was our home base for touring multiple areas in Tuscany. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Everything was beautiful and the staff were amazing and friendly. They had nightly aperitivos, vin santo and cookies and the morning breakfast spread was amazing. The room and facilities were very clean and it was a quiet, peaceful hotel. The staff knew us by name, which made it a special stay. All of the other guests were friendly. If you are planning on spending time in Tuscany, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Thank you so much to Martina, Sonia, Victor, Mark and all of the amazing staff for making our stay so special.

We spent hours and hours searching for the best hotel in Cortona to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We were thrilled with our selection of Hotel Villa Marsilli. The hotel is stunning, the staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and lovely. The breakfast was divine. We have never stayed in such a well cared for property with off the chart service by EVERYONE on the staff. We reserved a parking spot at the hotel months in advance and it was definitely worth it for us. The views from our room were so stunning…we simply cannot say enough positive things. If you are thinking of Cortona, this is the best place to stay. We are already planning our return!

I recommend this place 100%!!! They went above and beyond to help my daughter after she sprained her ankle. Constant ice, room service (which they don’t have) and attention. All the staff were incredibly hospitable. Genuinely caring for her well being. You don’t see that from a hotel ever!! We will be back!

Excellent hotel in Cortona with exceptional staff and hospitality. Room was very large, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Europe and the nightly Happy Hour and Apertivo were perfect on Fall evenings. Highly recommend and will definitely return!!

This lovely villa was simply marvelous! Welcoming attentive staff, comfortable spacious rooms and baths, and a breakfast feast to die for. We also took advantage of the nightly spread of tasty appetizers in mini ramekins followed later by cookies and vin santo. The decor is lovely, and the hotel is ideally located about a 10 minute walk up the hill (somewhat steep) into Cortona.

I had been watching this gem of a hotel for many years before I booked. There had been so many great reviews and the location was exactly where I was looking to stay. I can say that it did not disappoint. We were four friends travelling, and from the moment I first reached out to book our stay, the staff bent over backwards for our every need. Valentina answered so many emails for me, booking drivers for our adventures and making recommendations for restaurants and winery tours. She felt like family even before I arrived. When we walked thru the door, I felt like I was a guest in a family home. The smiles and cheery disposition of Giacomo to welcome us was incredible. We were given the best suite in the hotel, Room 30, and it did not disappoint. The view from the windows was breathtaking, and I looked forward to opening the shutters each day and evening to take it all in. The room décor was very classic and reminded me of my Nonna's home. The room itself was large and was re-organized to fit the four of us. We found it hard to keep the room cool, and the beds in the main bedroom were quite hard - but it was easily overlooked with everything else that was so wonderful. The bathroom was very large, with double sinks, a large tub and excellent shower. Each morning we were greeted by Marina, the Manager, who could never do enough to keep you smiling at breakfast. Vincent made the most wonderful cappuccinos to start our day, and the food selection was beyond amazing, including fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade jams, and so many items to choose from it was hard to get them all in over the course of 5 days. The chef did an extremely good job catering to different tastes. Each evening, they had a happy hour in the main lobby where more treats were put out to enjoy. None of us wanted to leave, and I think we all had tears in our eyes as we said goodbye. For my bucket list trip to Tuscany, I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. I will definitely be back in the future with my family.

I visited Villa Marsili last week for 6 nights with my family, we keep coming back to this exceptional, beautiful hotel year after year because of the fantastic, personal service and incredibly friendly and helpful staff, special tthanks for making special dishes according to our foodallergies!! We stayed 6 nights in Villa Marsili. The staff is really wonderful and welcoming, when entering you realize that you are not staying in a hotel but it feels like being guests of an Italian noble family. The villa is full of beautiful antiques and the rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast is the best we ever had in any hotel...
