This boutique hotel is located in the heart of Copenhagen close to Stroget, the pedestrian area, but just far enough away to be quite quiet. I stayed on business for two weeks. The front desk, dining, and housekeeping staff are all friendly and helpful, and the hotel and rooms are kept spotless. It is a paragon of Danish design and very ‘hyggelige’. The breakfast is fabulous. I only wish they had Tebirkes which is my favourite Danish pastry, but they seem to have gone for croissants instead (which are not Danish). They have a happy hour every evening with complimentary wine which is quite relaxed and lively, especially on weekends. And there is even a small gym in the basement which I used a few times. Overall this was one of my best trips to Copenhagen and the hotel made it really easy to get where I needed to go, as it’s close to both the Central Station (Hovedbanegarden) and the metro stop Radhuspladsen. The added bonus is that if you stay seven nights, your eighth night is on the house, which they call ‘Friends with benefits’ in the typical understated Danish style of humour. I highly recommend this hotel. It is definitely excellent value.
