Number 18

A wonderfully quirky BnB in a fantastic location right by the town walls with great views of the castle. We were given a lovely welcome by Melissa. The whole place is an amazing collection of 60s and 70s kitch which combines to make a glorious retro feel. The continental breakfast delivered to the room was delicious and plentiful, and she was able to cater for my gluten free needs without a problem. There is no on site parking but a very reasonably priced 24 hr car park nearby. It is about a 5 minute drive but only a minute walk though the city wall so don't panic. There are stairs to some rooms that would need to be a consideration for some. Other than that a fantastic place to stay

Melissa welcomes you as if you were at home with special attentions. The breakfast is delicious. The room was so amazing we loved it !! The decoration is great, the place is perfect to have a ride. I highly recommend Number 18 for a stay in Conwy.

Another fantastic long weekend in Conwy made even more special by our third stay at Number 18. My partner and I cant recommend Number 18 highly enough, it was such a find. Melissa and John have such an amazing quirky B&B located inside the castle walls. If you are into retro, you wont want to leave! Amazing rooms, totally different breakfast delivered to your door in a basket containing, yoghurt, blueberry's and muesli, croissants, lightly toasted artisan bread, cheese, ham, salami, buns, coffee powder and cafetiere, orange juice, satsumas. Such a refreshing change from the standard full fat-boys breaky. There isn't any parking but there is the Morfa Bach long stay carpark a 5 minute walk away which is £7.20 for 24hrs which is pretty good. Friendly, quirky, clean and great sized room. Continental breakfast in room was great with the additional chill out room and table to look out onto the castle. Amazing two night stay, even has free cake, can I say anymore! Will return, thanks for everything Melissa

Lovely greeting off our host, Melissa, so warm and welcoming. Such a quirky place, the exterior totally belies the interior. Everywhere I looked there were so many things that reminded me of my childhood home. Proper trip down memory lane! We stayed in “The dark room” yes it was dark, but two lovely windows overlooking the castle walls through one, and the actual castle through the other. Fab! The little sitting room is genius, absolutely loved having our picnic style breakfast in there. Lovely relaxed start to the day. So much choice in the basket, we couldn’t eat it all. Absolute gem of a place, in a fabulous location. We even managed to park for free up a street over the railway for free for 2 days. Bonus! Absolutely would stay here again without hesitation. Love love love the bonkers decor!

Due to illness we had to cancel our booking to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary FOUR TIMES !!! But Melissa still honoured the booking Well it was well worth the wait it's the most wonderful place great value for money and great location. The breakfast box served in your room was brilliant 👏 and for a change for me very healthy 😀. We will definitely be going back again Cheers 🍺🍷Rita and Ray.

Gorgeous B&B. Wonderful location. Decor - on point! Breakfast basket delicious. What is not to love (except the church’s ringing bells every 15mins for 24hrs a day which is absolutely not the owners fault but I found this disrupted our sleep. I think I spotted earplugs provided in the bathroom however I struggle to use them) - I googled the bells and found an interesting article about the town voting to keep them on! Would definitely recommend the B&B

Stayed here for a few days whilst in Conwy. My fiend has stayed before and couldn’t wait to return. It was my first stay & I loved it!! Check in is from 3pm and check out 10am. Melissa was extremely welcoming when we arrived and took us to our room, the orange room. The room is fairly small, but is lovely and has everything you could need. The bed was comfy, there is a kettle with tea/coffee & biscuits in the room. There is a small seating area near the window and there was also a retro fan in the room in case it got hot. Despite being hot weather, the room stayed mainly cool. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower & towels. Shampoo, hand wash and shower gel were provided. There were also little things like cotton buds, cotton wool, sanitary towel, ear plugs etc for emergencies. The orange room is on the second floor and up steep stairs, but it was fine fine for us. Breakfast was delivered to the room at whatever time you request between 7.30am and 9am & left outside the door. It was a lovely basket of warm croissants, sourdough toast, strawberries with granola and yoghurt, oranges, a small cake, orange juice, ham and cheese. I’m vegetarian and Melissa very kindly provided quorn ham with my cheese, a lovely touch. There is a sitting room downstairs with cake available and the whole place is very retro 70’s style! I loved the quirkiness of the place. It is situated across the road from the castle walls and just round the corner from Conwy train station. There is a short stay car park across the road and also a long stay a short walk away which was £6 for 24hrs. Overall, we loved our stay here. Melissa was lovely and just left us to our stay, but if you needed her she was only downstairs. We are already looking at when we can book a return visit. I would definitely recommend this place.

We adore Conwy so it was no surprise we ended up there for my wife's 65th birthday weekend. This was our first time at Number 18 and it was simply fantastic. This place made the whole weekend absolutely perfect. From the quirky 60's coat hooks in the entrance hall to the wallpaper going up the stairs to the pop posters in every room. This place is fab! If you are a free spirit this is the place for you, if you're not a free spirit come anyway and become one. Honestly, this is the best place I've ever stayed! We were here for 2 nights, we skipped our first breakfast because of other plans but had the breakfast on our checkout morning and that was also fantastic. Fresh orange, Greek yoghurt with fruit and a selection of cold meats finished with tea and coffee delivered to our door in a basket, just gorgeous. Highly, highly recommended.
