Tabaiba Princess

Our party was a couple with a nearly 2 year old & a couple with a non crawling 10 month old. (4 adults & 2 kids) I’ll start off with saying it’s a beautiful hotel. It’s clean and modern but simple changes could make it so much better! Rooms We stayed in twin rooms - 1228 & 1227 We wanted rooms next to each other so that when the babies were asleep we could sit together as two couples and have a bit of an evening. The only way this is possible is if you have a garden room, we didn’t know this till we got there. The rooms on the Tatium side are the quieter rooms which was great when travelling with babies/toddlers. We had requested ground floor rooms as we have a toddler who’s an escape artist. On arrival we were given 1st floor rooms and told they were fully booked so couldn’t move us. They said we could try the next day but couldn’t confirm. We received a phone call the next day and shown two rooms but even with them being on the 1st floor they both had balconies with a drop so chose not to move. The rooms aren’t big enough for a family. The wardrobe has space for two adults worth of clothing but not a huge amount more. The wardrobe doesn’t have hanging space for full length dresses & no where to store your suitcases. There isn’t an iron or kettle in the room, you have to pay extra for these. The door doesn’t lock from the inside so our toddler regularly opened the door and attempted to visit our neighbours. The patio door has a little latch to lock it but if you try and close the door from the outside it doesn’t close fully, guess this is for safety so you don’t lock yourself out but frustrating when you have a sleeping baby in the room and try not to make a sound when going for the balcony for some adult time. The garden rooms near the kids splash area didn’t have gates so we’re glad we didn’t have that room otherwise our toddler would have ran off all the time! Bed The bed is terrible & squeaked when you move. So any bad back suffers be prepared. One pillow is soft and the other is firm. Not great unless as a couple you have opposite taste in pillow types. There is loads of spare cushions which worked great as a pregnancy pillow for one of us ladies as we didn’t have the room to pack it with us Coffee Right parents, be prepared the coffee is TERRIBLE! And the nearest cafe is Starbucks which is 32mins stroll to the beach. You only get one bottle of water per stay. The supermarket across the way sells them if you need them for babies bottle etc. Food & Restaurants As you expect from an all inclusive it’s very sammie. Be warned the jelly makes toddlers hyper so allow them to eat with caution. You have to get your own drinks which we found odd for an all inclusive hotel and rather frustrating if you were solo parenting at the meal. There is always somewhere to eat during the day but we still found ourselves going out for a number of meals to get something tastier and different. We didn’t see any microwaves for heating kids food

Fantastic hotel, lovely food and a good choice of drinks (we were all inclusive) and plenty of room for what was a lot of people, never felt the need to search for space as space was always available. We tried both the Italian and Asian restaurants which served a nice choice of food but not loads. If you go with Tui and your kids are over 8 there isn’t really a lot for them to do except swimming and maybe join in other activities as the maxi kids club was pretty much non existent for the older age group. One thing we noticed is that the kids club had separate buildings one for the German kids and the other multilingual which we found strange.

We stayed in the Tabaiba Princess as we wanted the renovated rooms and the extra cost was definitely worth it. The room was lovely. Really comfortable and a good size. I’d like to say a special thank you to Jose-luis on reception. On day 3 we requested a room change due to being next to an incredibly noisy room and he was so lovely and helpful in getting us situated in a new room. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff on whole are really good, the cleaners always had a smile for everyone and the woman who runs the main dining hall is like a well oiled military machine. The hotel itself is really nice. It’s absolutely huge, there’s tons a facilities and you could easily stay the whole time there without having to leave. It was very clean at all points and towels and sheets were changed regularly. I will say that although there is an adults only area, it’s quite small and this really isn’t the hotel for you if you want a nice, relaxing getaway. It’s a huge resort and with that comes an absolute ton of kids. I wish I’d done a little more research before we booked as I have ADHD and Autism and there was genuinely no point where we were in the hotel and a screaming child couldn’t be heard from somewhere. The food unfortunately really lets this place down. It’s very repetitive and not great quality but it’s no worse than a usual all inclusive. The drinks are nice, they certainly pour generously (my husband had a mojito so strong he nearly choked haha). My son is 10 so was a bit too old to be interested in the kids club but from what I could see it was a very good one. He loved the aqua park and there’s tons of pools so you can always find somewhere to swim that isn’t over crowded. The snack bars are nice, there’s a really healthy one and then one that does your usual burgers and hot dogs and stuff. Overall we had a really enjoyable 2 weeks, I think we did get value for our money. But I wouldn’t come here if you have any fussy eaters or people who want a quiet holiday.

Stunning Hotel, with so much room. I’ve never seen so many palm tree in a hotel space, it really is beautiful. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the mini garden suite, which was stunning and so big. Well, the shower itself you could sleep 1 person. It’s the best shower I’ve had in a hotel and honestly looked forward to using it! The adult only area was lovely, quiet and modern. Be careful with leaving your towels and going off before 10, they will be removed. I loved that this was a rule that followed up with everyday! Main buffet food was ok, nothing special. Lots of snack bars around the large pool for lunch, with burgers, hotdogs etc The Asian and Italian restaurant are lovely and worth a visit, which is included in the AI. Hotel entertainment was fine, I personally didn’t come for this and went out most evenings. The hotel is a bit out of the way of things, but can easily walk or get a cheap taxi to places.

We came back to this hotel this year after having an amazing time in 2023, we got a free room upgrade to a suite and it was really peaceful, the only downside was the food wasn’t great. This year we were given the room that we’d booked (tabaiba twin room) which was still a nice room, it was still a nice room, however we were placed on a very noisy floor which had a lot of families with small children on which was a bit off putting for us as a child free couple. Pros: - Staff were very friendly and accommodating - food was a lot better than last year, different themed nights & the themed Italian and Asian restaurants were lovely. - the pools were clean - plenty of sun beds & there is a “no reserving before 10AM” rule which was enforced. -good views around the hotel. - the spa is great, and massages are amazing. -rooms are cleaned every day Cons: -the spa is very expensive -adult only area is quite small so it is a challenge to get a bed after 10AM -wall for the standard rooms are thin so you can hear everything -not a great selection of house alcohol to choose from. -we had issues with a group of children who were unsupervised for two days constantly caused us issues. We did like the hotel this time but it is worth upgrading to a suite if you want something g quiet.

Visited here second week in May, check in was quick and staff were all very nice, room was opposite kids slides and pool and was great, we had a junior suite, plenty of wardrobe space, a safe in the wardrobe , a fridge, two tv’s , a large mirror, nice bathroom with shower and bath, also complimentary toiletries. Bed was huge. As you head to the pool area from reception there are some lovely palm trees and planed area, two pools and there are several kids pools, some with slides which are located around the other side of the hotel. The breakfast was usual cereals, bacon, sausage, eggs, also a wide selection of bread and continental breakfast items, omelettes were made to order, also tea, coffee and juice which was help yourself, fresh orange was payable or it’s included if you upgrade, My wife struggled at lunch and dinner times to find food she liked, me on the other hand always found something to eat, they do have to cater for a lot of people and there is a good choice but it may not suit everyone. There’s also two snack bars with have the usual chips, burgers, salad, chicken, cakes and other pastries. They also do crepes which are an extra charge or included if you upgrade. Staff were really nice except one who worked at one of the outdoor bars who was a bit of a grump😀. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel, even though my wife struggled with the food but bearing in mind they have to cater for a lot of people, and would stay again in the future.

We arrived at the Princess Tabaiba and were immediately impressed with the grandeur of the reception, its sparkling marble floor and overall clean presentation with plants (which turned out to be plastic, but looked good anyway) decorating the area. The hotel twinned with the Maspalomas Princess are like two giant candy sticks with the curled ends of the sticks facing each other. It takes a short while to get your bearings as its quite a big place. We soon found several irritants with the hotel which didn't ruin the holiday, but were certainly not what we were used to. Our room, whilst clean and quite large with a vast double bed and a sofa bed for our boy, didn't have a kettle, an iron, and no drinks in the fridge, not even water. The bathroom was nice with a big shower room and double width sink. To obtain iron and kettle, these had to be rented from reception (£). The air conditioning is the room wasn't sufficient, squeaked and only produced a trickle of cool air. The lack of coffee and tea making facilities was frustrating particularly as we were right at the far end of the candy stick on the second floor and therefore had to walk all the way back past reception into the dining area to get morning drinks. So I did this only once during our stay as it was a waste of time. WiFi in our room was also at a complete loss as we appeared to be in a dead spot, and we noticed several of these spots particularly around the pool areas, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this size. The pool areas themselves were excellent and the far end of the candy stick had a beach area which sloped into the pool so was safer for kids. There were two good poolside restaurants for simple meals (10am onwards), snacks and drinks. The adult only pool was really nice (although we didn't use it just walked past), and it had its own H2O bar which was lovely and peaceful and we dropped in there a few times. We found out quickly that using the staircases quickly got you about the place much faster than waiting around for the tediously slow lifts. Straight down from our room was the spa, gym and access to the adult only pool. The restaurant and bars were ok with plenty of seats but it felt like a budget all inclusive, with a self service style drinks service of average wine and beer. Coffee and tea was the same but it was particularly annoying having to queue all of the time at the machines, which were themselves very slow, and didn't produce nice coffee, or even full measures. The food was on the whole good, but there were a couple of nights where it was below par. Also most nights involved a long queue to even get in the restaurant. There were a couple of other restaurants to break up the main buffet tedium, namely an Italian and Asian, however both were also buffet. The Italian wasn't great and largely the same as food in the main buffet. The Asian was slightly better for noodles and curry reasons alone which were never on offer elsewhere. The waiter offered

Such a wonderful hotel!! Very clean, rooms were nicely decorated, staff were friendly. The food was so nice and lots of choice. Pool was clean and the adult only area was a nice place to relax. Quiet area that’s nice to walk around, cannot complain at all, we will absolutely be back!

We arrived on my birthday in December and were absolutely delighted to be upgraded to a suite , this was also our first holiday together and the suite was amazing , we spent most of the time there sunbathing , partly due to no music being on by the pool , and in the room we could play our music . On the first night we went down for dinner and sat a table and it didn't have a wine glass , so i took one from another table, only to be sternly talked down to by a waiter when he seen what i had done , i did explain i didn't know the protocol as only arrived ,and to be honest there should have been one on the table we are seated at , so had to show him where i was sat was not happy at all (not a good start to the evening or my birthday night ) The booking system for booking for breakfast etc i couldn't understand as you still have to queue for ages and i have never stayed at another hotel that does this . Overall we did have a fantastic time the hotel was clean and the room was amazing , we tried the Italian restaurant and the Asian one and we really enjoyed it and the weather was amazing , prosecco was freely available on the bars and cocktail machine so you could help yourself , what's not to love .
