La Tour Gregoire

I booked La Tour de Gregoireas as I was driving through France and parked up in town early evening and looked at hotel options so it was quite a last minute booking and turned out to be a great place to stay. I arrived at La Tour well after 6pm and I rang the number to get the code to get into the building and the room but the phone kept cutting out. I got into the room fine and the helpful owner came back to meet me and explain about the room and breakfast which was really nice of him. The room was clean and comfortable and was in a great location being right in the centre of town but also in a very quiet little street. In the morning I opened the bedroom door and there was a little basket hanging on a hook outside which contained fresh rolls and a few different pastries. There are jams etc, in the fridge too. I had a great stay and would be happy to stay there again.

The tower has four or five studio rooms one above another right near the cathedral. We stayed on the third floor which is a bit of a schlep with bags but it’s a tower so you know what to expect. The room is charming, with a small balcony and a large (vital) fan. It’s very well equipped and laid out with a sleeping area (including a cot) food prep/microwave/nespresso machine and slightly dodgy fridge and then a great shower. It has a delightful ambience. Breakfast - brought in a basket and hung on a hook outside the door - was full of delectable pastries with oj etc in the fridge. We ate ours in the cool of the balcony. And when I left behind some vitamins, the owner was assiduous in calling and letting me know. We would return like a shot if we needed to be in the area… (oh yes, inexpensive, Underground parking about 200 metres away)

This property is in a great location and in the old town area. Old town itself is very nice but there are lots of steep roads. Definitely not an are for the mobility challenged. The same goes for this property. Be aware that there is no elevator and the steps are very narrow and steep. The room has good kitchen facilities and the bread basket that is provided in the morning is very nice. There is yoghurt, juice and milk in the refrigerator. In general it was a nice stay.

Très bonne localisation à 5’ de la cathédrale et 15’ à pieds de la gare sncf. Chambres spacieuses et agréables. Kitchenette et point salle de bains avec grande douche à l’italienne. Bon petit déjeuner. Chambre Pavin au 1er avec lit bébé. Chambre Pariou au 2D avec grand canapé.

L appartement est tres agréable, bien équipé,décoré avec goût,propreté irréprochable !le petit déjeuner est copieux et tres bon! Le seul petit bemol vient du stationnement qui oblige a payer une nuit dans un parking a proximité,(9€ pour 15h) Sinon nous ne pouvons que recommander chaudement !

La chambre est très agréable et la literie confortable, dommage que la pièce ne soit pas mieux insonorisée car, même si la rue est peu passante, j'ai été réveillée à plusieurs reprises par des voisins festifs, des éclats de voix dans la rue, les services de nettoyage et des bruits dans la cage d'escalier ...

Très bel endroit, décoré avec goût, spacieux et très bien situé dans la vieille ville à côté d'un parking. Calme et bon petit déjeuner. Je recommande vivement!

Cet endroit est très bien, spacieux, bien placé, très propre. Toutefois c’est une location de studio meublé de courte durée et pas du tout une chambre d’hôte! Je n’ai vu personne de tout le séjour et le petit déjeuner consiste à décrocher un panier installé à la porte avec des viennoiseries. Aucune convivialité ! Pour un tarif à Clermont-Ferrand qui est assez élevé d’autant que l’on doit se garer au parking public proche certes mais pas gratuit..
