We had a booking for September the 5th until the 8th. Since September 4th travel to Salento from Cali was impossible because of the road blockades by transport trucks, so we phoned the hotel that same day (September 4th) to postpone our reservation. The hotel refused arguing that we had booked through a platform (Agoda). The platform then asked the hotel to cancel the reservation and, again, they refused, so we lost our reservation, even though we had tried to cancel it in advance due to the impossibility of getting there and not because of our fault.

My girlfriend and I stayed at El Mirador Del Cocora for three nights during our visit to Salento and highly recommend it. First, the positives. The views are absolutely breathtaking. This hotel offers the best view in Salento; it’s like having your own private mirador. There’s nothing better than waking up to such stunning scenery. As for the amenities, we booked the Deluxe Double Room with a Bath (room 104), which featured an indoor jacuzzi with the same perfect view. Enjoying a cold beer from the minibar while soaking in the hot tub was a highlight. The room also had air conditioning, although it wasn’t necessary as Salento gets quite chilly at night. Additionally, the service at the hotel is impeccable. The staff are incredibly friendly, constantly checking in on how you’re doing and eager to help with even the smallest questions or needs. Now, the downsides. The WiFi signal in our room was poor, so we had to rely on our mobile network, which was disappointing. The breakfast was subpar compared to other hotels we stayed at during our trip. Another small issue is the hotel’s location. The Amazing view comes with a price. The hotel is situated at the top of the town, which means a climb every time you go out and return. It’s not a deal breaker but requires some planning. In summary, despite these minor issues, I still wholeheartedly recommend El Mirador Del Cocora. We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff are the nicest people, and the views are gorgeous.

We upgraded upon check in to get a balcony and view. Absolutely worth it. Staff was fabulous - helpful and friendly. Things to know that are not complaints, just information: The wi-if and hot water were intermittent and the hotel itself was at the top of a HILL. ( hence the name Mirador.). Be warned if you plan on walking with your luggage from the bus stop. I would absolutely stay here again.

Located at the very top of Salento, Colombia lies what appears like a normal cute botique hotel from the from the front, immediately greets you with beautiful views of the Cocora valley! Absolutely stunning. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Couldnt beat the views overlooking the valley. A short but steep 5 min walk has you right on the main ***** of Salento which I absolutely fell in love with. Such a cute vibrant town. Exactly what you think of when you think of a typical Pueblo in Colombia. Will definitely be back.

This gem of a hotel in Salento is worth the little walk up the hill! Outstanding service... killer view ... what a way to wake up every morning!!! It's a few minutes walk to the town square... close enough for everything but another world by itself. Hotel is a very peaceful retreat and we can't recommend it enough!!!!

A beautiful hotel with an incredible view! The staff were all so friendly, especially Juan! It was in a good location, just a 5 minute walk to the main square and felt super safe. The hot tub was a brilliant addition and definitely worth the extra money!

A beautifull hotel in central area, with stunning views and friendly, helpfull staff. We had the rooms with the hot tub on the terrace overlooking the valley. It was beautifull. We were also very lucky to be there for a feast of the cowboys in this area. A night of :dancing!" horses on the main square...unforgettable!! This hotel is a gem and highly recommended!
