Mellington Hall Country House Hotel

We love everything about this property from start to end. We stayed 4 nights in 2 different rooms, one of them is the suite, luxurious and well appointed. What a great view we had! The best decision ever to experience both rooms. We love walking around the property, beautiful garden and pond, every area is well kept and so safe to walk. We had dinner in the hotel for 2 nights, great quality and affordable price. The hotel is not far from beautiful castles and other attractions. Service here is second to none. Everyone is so friendly. Thank you all. That was a memorable stay. Will be back.

We’re do I start, so much good to say about Mellington Hall Hotel. We stayed on their touring site for 2 night which was a gift to me and my wife. On arrival we were greeted by Paul who was so friendly. He escorted us to our pitch telling everything we needed to know. The site is extremely well kept and peacefully with excellent facilities. Toilet and shower blocks are very clean and modern. Good size pitches with large space between them. After parking up it was time to try the fishing, fished for 2 1/2 hours on a small but Lowely kept pool. Caught 9 nice carp who were a bit lively. With my wife enjoying a relaxing time reading by the pool. On the Friday evening we met family member for evening meal. We were seated in a side room with sofas and dining table, which was lovely for just our family to be together. The staff are wonderful, very calm, pleasant and so do helpful and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. The meal service was excellent as was the food, beautifully cooked and so tasty. Returning back yo our motorhome for the night, we had a very peaceful nights sleep. Saturday after a little lie in it was off to the pool again. Afternoon tea was next on the agenda. Without any doubt this was the best afternoon tea we have had, the quality of everything was exceptional and so tasty. Be prepared to take a doggy bag home. My wife was impressed with the food and hygiene when it came to what you could take home, nothing with pork in it as it is high risk. preventing any risk of food poisoning. Again the service was first class and faultless. Tried to walk it of with a woodland walk. To sum up even though we have another night here, which we have no doubt will be excellent, we have experienced excellent staff service in every area, a peaceful relaxing stay with excellent value for money. Highly recommended and will be back Thank you to all the staff you made our stay so enjoyable.

We had our wedding here and could not have asked for the most perfect place. The food was delicious from our wedding dinner, evening snack to breakfast) with everyone impressed. The setting is perfect and staff did everything they could to make the day special. Special shout out to Henri (manager, Beth in bar and Rob chef) and all who worked there on 16th August Highly recommend getting married here and we will back to celebrate

We have just left Mellington Hall, after the most delicious afternoon tea. As always, the staff greeted us and made us feel comfortable, enjoying a pre drink in the most relaxed and stunning setting. The food was beautifully home made, with so much choice! Thank you again for a special birthday afternoon xx

We stayed in a family suite for an evening, I have to admit the bed was really soft, so much so the movement of your partner in bed made it wobble like a water bed! Gave us a good laugh. The view was amazing, the grounds astounding, and the hotel picturesque and so quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves walking around the grounds, and mobile home site as well. Staff were amazing! So friendly, couldn't fault them. We even had help carrying bags to our room, which we've never had anywhere else we've stayed before. The breakfast was delicious, one thing I would state is that the breakfast bap came as a sesame seed bun (I didn't see it stated on the menu) but once I'd removed the seed layer it was delicious! I had seconds on the croissants as they were so fresh & light. One or two minor niggles, the room was dusty in areas, the sofa under the seats had been missed when cleaning, the bath panel was cracked, & there were tea/coffee stains on the unit drawers below the hospitality tray. The sheets didn't fit the bed, & the quilt was a bit small, but as I said minor niggles. The one I did forget to mention is there was no access to any hd channel on the t.v. hence there was no access to any bbc channel. Plenty of other channel options though. One word for those who don't like spiders, we had quite a few long legged friends but the hotel is a countryside one so that can't be helped. We were asked on our way out how our stay was, I wasn't impolite enough to roll off a list. I wasn't expecting the Ritz, hence I made no complaint. The stay was lovely, and we enjoyed ourselves, that's what matters. Would stay again quite happily.

I visited with 3 other ladies for an afternoon tea. We’d heard good things about it so had to come and try it for ourselves. It was outstanding. The best afternoon tea we’ve ever had. The staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We most certainly didn’t leave hungry and even took some food home with us. We walked it off with a walk around the stunning grounds. We will definitely be back again!

Fantastic short break at Mellington Hall. Wonderful staff who make you feel so welcome - thanks so much to Nick and his team . Excellent atmosphere in the well stocked bar and restaurant, enhanced by visitors from the wider park. Would definitely recommend the experience and beautiful setting.

An outstanding mix of old and new. The room (2) was modern,the bathroom spotless and new, but the common areas had that old fashioned look whilst being clean and up to date if that makes sense. The food was first rate and service spot on, especially Beth at the bar. A credit to the hotel.

Really good food. Everything was piping hot and plenty of it. Outstanding service from all staff. We usually come out here on a Saturday but as our daughters were over, we decided to go out for a roast and it didn't disappoint. I highly recommend Mellington the food. wine and service was excellent.
