I was fortunate to discover these people and this place a few years before the pandemic - it was like a dream. Brilliantly curated, beautiful to the details, thoughtful, delicious, comfortable and attractive to such interesting people. The owners and staff are friendly, welcoming and talented. People you hope you’re interesting enough to be friends with. And, I’m delighted to say, it has lost nothing in the years since I was last there. It’s perfect. So happy!

We won a trip to Chicago so had no influence over where we’d be staying.. well we weren’t disappointed. The Publishing House is impeccably laid out and decorated, the service & breakfasts are outstanding, the hosts were incredibly welcoming & we adored the resident pooches, Angus & Louie! We’d recommend this to anyone considering Chicago for a trip, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in

My husband and I absolutely loved staying here! from the ease of check in to the stylish room we couldn't ask for more. The breakfast was amazing and the tea and coffee selection was superb. The common area/breakfast room is fun to hang out in and take in the city sights and sounds and we had a great lunch and outstanding dinner just a few minutes walk from the B&B. Grabbing an Uber to go anywhere you want in the city was super easy too. We'd stay again in a heart beat!

At every turn, you will be pleasantly surprised - be it the well-furnished, eclectic rooms, the library full of great reads, the freshly-made breakfasts with a great menu every day, the butler’s pantry, to the cozy living room with the fireplace and piano. The Publishing House is a true gem of Chicago and offers great service and value, and I would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous place and wonderful experience! Kimberly and her staff are so friendly and helpful. We booked all 11 rooms for our family and the groom's for our daughter's wedding in Chicago. The environment is so warm and inviting. The breakfast options are amazing and gourmet, not a typical continental breakfast like most places. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and common areas have games, cards etc. and there is a reading nook as well. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend The Publishing House for any visit to Chicago!

Thank you Taylor Swift for selling out all the regular hotel rooms. We came for a birthday celebration in the West Loop area and ended up here. I cannot say enough good things about the place and it's staff. I will definitely return here over any other hotel in Chicago.

Excellent stay. We had just come from a similar setup in Philly where there were 4 kinds of tea and yoga mats, but no lotion or umbrellas. So we appreciate that Kimberly has thought of every small but important detail, from self-service french press coffee or tea, delicious daily baked goods, and of course, umbrellas and beautiful toiletries. The decor of the whole space is divine - I would love to live there! The Everleigh room was a dream - the layout, the views, the beautiful bathroom with claw foot tub. I appreciated that even though it is a BnB, we didn’t feel like the hosts were all up in our business yet were totally accessible. Location is wonderful - just west of downtown, but one block from quaint businesses on Randolph Street.

This is the most amazing hidden gem in the West Loop!! Extremely charming, the breakfast was great & very comfortable. I will make this my “place to stay” whenever I visit Chicago!

Delightful experience in a perfect location. Easy walking distance to the "L" and all the fun restaurants in Fulton Market. We stayed in the Dybek Room on the 2nd Floor. Big comfy bed with nice linens and a fabulous huge bathroom. Public spaces were comfy and charming. Breakfasts were ample and delicious and the team was gracious about accommodating dietary restrictions. Umbrellas supplied for a rainy autumn day. On this trip, I happened to travel with my husband, but I often go to Chicago solo and this felt super safe and homey for the single female traveler.
