"Ive choosen this place cause its central, easy to access and 24h check in. The room been spacious, clean, comfortable beds, complimentary coffee and dates in lounge. They been helpful to organise a taxi for local prices to the airport. Very polite and friendly staff. The breakfast been compared to other hotels in Muscat a bit pale. But I would still recommend it."

"It was a pleasant experience. The front office reception staff was very courteous and good. Hamid and Helda were very supportive and helpful. The facilities were awesome. The breakfast was good. Just experiment with new dishes every day as we had the same breakfast menu for all 3 days. But no complaints. it's just the suggestion. So calling the room service was not easy as the phones were always busy."

"Good option if you have a long layover. However please take note that you’ll have to go through the security check (throw all your liquids even though you only just landed and transit from another plane). The hotel room is nice but extremely COLD (cannot change the aircond temperature as it is centralised) bring your jacket if needed. The counter staff was not as friendly with no proper greeting no smile. Could have been better if they had a basic customer service attitude. Overall stay was okay but will not come again for the longer layover in this hotel ."

"When you enter the hotel، you are welcomed by a good smell and kind staff. In all the hallways, there are scent diffusers. Everything looks really great, and also the rooms were spacious and comfortable. What we didn't like was that the floor was quite dirty - you would definitely need to wear shoes inside (we noticed too late and got dirty socks). The location is great, close to the airport. There are also many food options around and inside the hotel."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Mysk al Mouj hotel. Beautiful rooms, amazing breakfast (lots of variation, valet car parking and great staff. Location is near to airport and next to meeting point of many tours to Daymaniyat Island."

"location good. near some fast food eateries. hotel breakfast was good but needs a bit more variety - i stayed for 3 nights so the dishes were almost the same every day. My room was comfortable. unfortunately my view was not great (another building). there were a lot of bugs (like flies) in the bathroom because there is poor air circulation. suggestion: please have clothes hangers that can be used in the bathroom. Some hooks o the wall would be useful for coats/jackets. the lady at the reception when i checked in wasn't warm or friendly. she had a neutral face. no warm greeting or friendliness that i would expect from a frontline hotel staff. she also was there when i checked out - she was on the phone and just gestured for me to drop my key card in the box. no ”thank you”, or ”bye” or anything. nobody helped me with my luggage when i checked out. my van pickup was blocked by a parked car so i had to use the steps (and not the ramp). it would be nice if there was someone from the hotel to assist. there was a male staff who helped me when my key card did not work on 14 September 2025. He was very helpful, warm and actually accompanied me to my room to check the card. good service! overall, good stay. would definitely return if come back to Muscat."

"This hotel is strategically located close to the Avenues Mall. Attached to this mall (and closest entrance to the hotel) is Lulu Hypermarket -an amazing supermarket with local and international brands, and a fantastic bakery. This mall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. However, you do have walk along the road as the sidewalk / footpath does not exist. But this is only for 300 metres. In fact you can get off the street, but it is gravel/ construction site, so you shoes will be messy. Uber and Grab do not exist in Oman. However, the hotel has two or three taxi drivers that will you take you anywhere. They use set rates, rather than a meter. For example Hotel to Airport run is 8 is Omani Rial (US $20). While this hotel is great for shopping, it is not the best for major attractions of Muscat. The main historical sites of Alam Palace, Ai Mirania Fort and National Museum is 21 kms from the hotel. About 10 Omani Rial is each way by taxi. However, there are very few hotels in this area, so most people stay in hotels near Malls in Oman. This is some form of Public Transport in Muscat, but it can be hard for tourists to use without changing to another bus or long walks. For example, the Royal Opera House is 10 kms from hotel. By using public transport this would require a 2.5 kms walk. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and feature comfortable lounge style chairs. The hotel is located near an expressway /motorway, but good soundproofing means this is not an issue. I was of level 3 and could just see the ocean in the distance (right) and the mall (to left). They do have ocean view room (more expensive higher up the building). The TV is very disappointing - small & old with fuzzy channels. Fortunately, the internet is great, so viewing most programs on the computer. The rooftop has great swimming pool and bar, but maybe a little too cold to swim with highs of about 22-23 C in winter. Staff at receptionist are very obliging. I can definitely recommend this hotel for shopping and good base to experience Muscat. However, as mentioned, it is long way from the major tourists attraction of the city and taxi is required."
