We splurged for two nights in the Grand Mansion Suite, celebrating a special occasion. While we were anticipating a great experience, our expectations were exceeded. The suite itself is not only huge, but the woodwork, windows on three sides and the two working fireplaces made it extraordinary. And while we anticipated good service here, the staff felt like family. Will, Kevin and Mark always had smiles on their faces, were happy to chat, and anticipated our needs. A gourmet breakfast at their restaurant, Circa 1886, was included and delicious, and the staff there was wonderful as well. We would recommend the Wentworth Mansion to anyone looking for an extraordinary stay!

Wentworth Mansion is everything people write about and more. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to stay in a beautiful South Carolina mansion with outstanding service, the most comfortable bed and lovely people. Even though every room was booked, its whisper quiet. I loved the free breakfast in the mornings, afternoon wine and appetizers and sherry wine all day. Step back in time and embrace the beauty of staying at Wentworth. Thanks to the staff for making my 70th so special.

It was the first hotel I have been in where the beverages in the room were free. I really appreciated the extra perks like 5pm hors d'oeuvres. The bed was comfy and the place is very beautiful. Can’t wait to go again.

The mansion is gorgeous, and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff was anxious to make our stay special, and they succeeded! Our room was large with a very real looking gas fireplace. The location was perfect since e were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Dining at the restaurant, Circa 1886, was divine!!!! We would highly recommend this mansion - Inn for anyone wanting a special place to stay in Charleston!

The Mansion was a pleasant surprise. We lived in the area for 3 years and never knew about this place so my wife and I stayed here for a night. The staff was very accommodating and made the night special for us. Cocktail hour, coffee and pastries, liquor in the evening, amazing inclusive breakfast at the 1886 restaurant, 360 lookout view at the top of the hotel and large, cozy rooms were all highlights of the mansion. Great stay!

Elegant and cozy. Comfortable and high quality. Great value for all they provide. And the view from the Cupola. Wow. Gorgeous room with a bathroom bigger than most nyc apts. The common space was refined, the restaurant a highlight, and the staff first rate. Lisa, Lynnette, Will, Owen, and at the restaurant: Anastasia, and Denis, made this a stay to remember.

The stay of a lifetime, we were floored by the service, beauty, decor, and experience. The reviews are correct that say, 'The problem was that we had to go back home!' Nightly hor d'oeuvres, chef-prepared, and wine was a highlight. We do not get up early on vacation, but we got up every morning for the complimentary 5-star breakfast-- not to be missed. And you do not want to miss dining in the evening at Circa 1886-- make reservations several weeks before your stay.

our favorite place to stay in Charleston, first class service, great accommodations, with an excellent restaurant. Awesome reception at night, great room. View from the top is best in town. Going back in Feb 2024

Awesome experience, the staff was great, Kevin the Assistant Innkeeper was extremely helpful with dining and sightseeing suggestions. The rooms were roomy with all the southern charm you would expect. We are looking forward to another trip to the Mansion with other family members.
