The place is nice and clean. Accessible to everything. Recommend to everyone who wants to come and visit santa fe.

We had food poisoning after we had dinner here. Me and my sister stayed for 4 nights but on the third night we decided to have dinner in their restaurant.. the next day we vomited, felt dizzy and had diarrhea. They have scenic view and the beach is amazing but food-wise? I don't think they even practice good hygiene here. 👎🏻

We expected big white sand, palm trees and calm waters but it was Kota Beach Resort’s peacefulness and that ever present tranquil vibe we felt as soon as we arrived that really impressed us. We felt totally relaxed and at home the whole time. Our room was comfortable and the staff very friendly. The pick up and drop off at the port was very convenient. For a change of pace and scenery we walked down the road to Santa Fe’s many colorful bars and restaurants. The food was very good at the resort, and the squid we had in the restaurant overlooking the big white sands was probably the best we’ve tasted in the Philippines, and very reasonably priced too. We will visit again soon.

We didn’t know what to really expect when we arrived at Kota Beach Resort on Bantayan Island. Yes, we expected big white sand, palm trees and calm waters. But it is a feeling of total peacefulness and tranquility that we experienced soon after our arrival that makes Kota Beach Resort a standout amongst other resorts. Its openness made us feel totally relaxed and at home. And for a change of pace and scenery we walked down the road to Santa Fe’s many colourful bars and restaurants. The food was good too at the resort and the squid we had in its restaurant, with expansive views of big white sands, was probably the best we’ve tasted in the Philippines and reasonably priced too. We will visit again soon.

Great place on the beach. Good location in Santa Fe. Very nice and helpful staff, great pick up and drop off service at ferry which was free. No wifi in rooms. Bathroom/showers need update soon. Would definitely come again. Good value for money

The pictures online are deceiving. Some included pools (whatever!)... there is none! I'm just glad that for our booked accommodation, it included the van service to and fro the hotel. The sand and the view is quite spectacular especially during sunset. The food is not impressive though. Do take note that the toiletries are incomplete! Like, there is no set of toothbrush! You pay for extra bed but there is no provision for extra bed, other than what is already there! Ask for extra pillow for a fee. Also, there is an on-going building structure beside it, as of this writing.

Nice, white sand beach with sand bar. I love going there and run along the beach every morning. The sand is powdery and the beach is not too crowded when i was there. Altho there are lots of boats on the far end of the beach not much near the swimming spots.

The beach is quite far from the night life center of the island but if you love serenity, this is the place for you. Say hello to paradise! Though the beach resort has a restaurant and bar wherein you can dine as you enjoy the beach view.

Very nice landscape and Beach. Rooms should be renovated, Accomodation is expensive. If Inclusive breakfast you just get 2 options. That is Crazy. Restaurant is good. Will Not Return to that beach Resort.

We stayed here for Valentine’s Day and it just wasn’t what we expected. We had two different rooms booked for the two nights we had, but on the second day, we had to wait two hours outside our room just to be told that staff would move our stuff to our new room. We were under the impression that we’d be able to switch rooms upon our checkout of the first room which was not the case; we basically wasted two hours of our midday vacation time sitting on our porch waiting. Complimentary breakfast is only two options rather than the regular breakfast menu as we were told; food was average at best. They offered a Valentine’s Day dinner special which we decided to do. We spent 3000 pesos on a far below mediocre meal, and didn’t get the request we were told we’d get. We requested a seat on the patio which was noted and we were told we could have, but upon arrival, there was a couple sitting at the outside table and then we were told that we needed to have 7 people to sit outside. The next table we requested was said to be reserved which really bothered us, especially since the people that walked in behind us got that table. The appetizer we received was basically greasy salami from a package and chopped up string cheese. Our salad was bland with no sauce, and the complimentary wine was practically grape juice. We ordered two ribeyes to be cooked medium rare with a side of mashed potatoes for both of us which was confirmed upon our arrival. We received two well done steaks which were about a quarter inch thick at best (probably a 6-8 oz steak) with one mashed potato and one rice with no gravy for the potatoes (which we saw another table receive). We sent back both our steaks back mentioning that we requested medium rare and they brought us back (15 minutes later) our same well done steaks cooked even more making it taste like a burnt hamburger. We were told that our first steak was their “medium rare,” but I cut both of the steaks in half and saw no pink in the meat (don’t offer rare or medium rare if you can’t cook a steak). After 45 minutes we finally receive ONE of the steaks with pink, but it was partially medium, partially medium rare, and mostly rare which was 100% better than getting a burnt hamburger patty. I decided to get a bottle of Chardonnay because I knew we’d need something to take the edge off, but it was one of the worst Chardonnays I’ve ever had; I even saw a couple complain and send their bottle back. The experience we had did not justify the 3000 pesos we spent, and it did not make us happy to spend our Valentine’s Day dinner there. If you decide to stay at this resort, I’d recommend eating elsewhere as the service and food are not up to par with what the city of Sante Fe has to offer. 2-3/10 experience at this resort.

We went there during the 'seaweed season' so there are plenty washed up on the shore but the place was still beautiful. Room rates are reasonable. Kota Beach has a sandbar and long shoreline. The food is good as well, loved the barbecue nights (I love their grilled squid) and their co-working cafe. The Mobile data connection in the area is good. A catholic church (forgot the name) and Chef Panyang is just a 5-minute walk from the resort. They have shuttle service to and from the port else they'll reimburse your tricycle fare. Kota beach is better than Ogtong Cave Resort, will provide more details in a separate review. Bantayan Island is a lovely place with kind people. Just bring enough cash, I was a little unlucky when we were there, the only ATM nearby, also a 5-minute walk from the resort, was having issues dispensing cash so I had to go to Daanbantayan if I'm not mistaken. Note: The hotel, I believe, does not offer massage services but they can connect you with a local masseuse/masseur who can go to the hotel. Tours are also offered by local tricycle drivers, the hotel can also connect you to them.

Staff at the restaurant went out of their way to ignore us on several occasions They didn't do bech orders in the beach cafe yet an hour later they were taking beach front orders. It's such a shame because it's an absolute beautiful resort, the cleaning staff and security were super friendly but the restaurant staff really let it down. We paid for transport from the port although the resort offers free transport because nobody responded to our calls or emails before arriving (again this was absolutely fine (worked out to about £2) but not the point. On the day before departure we triple checked the reception staff had sorted our transfer to the port as it was at 3am. When arriving at the security Post we were not surprised to find that the transport hadn't been sorted.. luckily the very friendly security guard went above and beyond and took us to the port.. just a terrible way/but not surprising way to end the trip. The location and the grounds of this resort are absolutely stunning.. lack of communication in staff really let this place down.

I loved this place. We stayed at one of the beach front cottages and it was worth it. This resort is located right at Kota Beach, noted for its wide sandy beach, and shallow, gentle surf. The room was rustic-- no tv, no wifi (wifi available at restaurant), no room phone (we got cell signal) --- just the basic stuff but functional --clean room, comfortable bed, smallish bathroom, hot shower, small ref, working AC. But the view from our cottage was just awesome. Definitely the place to just chill on the beach, and that's what we enjoyed during our stay. If you want to explore the island, you can rent scooter just outside the resort gate. The staffs were friendly and helpful. They picked us up from Santa Fe port, and shuttled us back after we checked out. I also loved their in-house restaurant, Kadlawon. We never had a bad meal there. Check out there grilled fish, or if your more adventurous, get the steamed crab. The restaurant staff were courteous and responsive. As for the cons, I wish they'll do something to control those beach dogs. Overall great stay; I'll definitely consider staying here again.
