The highest touch service I’ve ever received at a hotel. It reminded me of the type of experience you get belonging to a vacation club like exclusive resorts. Selso (one of the concierge’s that works there) is an absolute joy. He is present, knowledgeable and so attentive. Rest assured that the staff at Bastio will find a way to make sure you have everything you need. The room was spacious and beautifully nestled into a historic part of Catania. The rooms are new and modern but you will have a piece of history incorporated within it in some way (our room had an archway from the 15th century). Our patio had a beautiful view of the duomo. The beds are very comfortable - I slept incredibly well !!

What a wonderful place to stay. Super spacious and clean room, delicious breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. We definitely recommend this accomodation in Catania, we spent 5 nights here and were very satisfied.

To sum it up: great location, amazing staff, excellent rooms. The hotel is situated only a few hundred meters from the city center and shopping district, and less than 100 meters from the beautiful fish market. If you come by car, there's a public parking lot across the street. Lastly, it's just an 8 minutes drive to the airport. The rooms are new and fashionable. There's a coffee machine, fruit and a minibar. The staff is friendly, attentive and happy to assist with information, booking a restaurant or simply have a nice chat. There's a restaurant on the ground floor which was closed the day we were there (closed on Mondays) but looks very stylish and inviting. We loved our stay and are looking forward to come again.

The place is stunning! Celso's hospitality was above and beyond. Helped us with everything we needed. Clean rooms and the location of the hotel is very central right next to the main square. I would definitely recommend choosing this place

What a wonderful hotel!! It’s a is a historic building, built with lava walls. The location is great, very close to points of interest! So beautiful and with a really kind staff. Thanks to the great manager Celso! Our room was huge, with a Turkish bathroom (a private sauna)!

It was comfortable and luxurious hotel in the historic structure or building. (I can actually see and touch some old arches in the room) The facility is well maintained and all staffs are really polite. I can't visit the restaurant at the ground floor, but it also looks great.
The famous fish market even more closer than the parking lot(but the parking lot also takes less than 5 min) and Duomo & its plaza located just behind the market.
However, supermarket is little far and its shortcut passes some dark areas.

Hotel was one of the most amazing rooms we ever stay0ed in. It was a mix of old with original stones and things and modern as anything there is. In addition the location was fantastic. a short 5 minute walk and you are in the center or Catania, with tons of shops and restaurants. this was in the middle of the square. i would rate it higher then a 10 if possible. was a fantastic hotel .

My husband and I have stayed at some of the best properties around the world. It reminds me of an Aman type hotel. It's historic, charming and beautifully appointed. The location is perfect to go out and explore. If I could give it 10 ⭐️ stars I would!! A must stay if you are visiting Catania.

A very cool and comfortable stay-
The rooms are well done aesthetically- and we slept great. All our needs were met- from coffee to breakfast to recommendations to a taxi to the airport. Felt like I was staying at a friends hip apar**ent-
Highly recommend.
