I am a frequent and loyal Marriott customer. I am a platinum elite bonvoy member. This hotel/resort was extremely disappointing. My wife and 8 year old stayed at the property for 3 nights in Feb. We were there for fun but I also needed to work while there. First the positives. Location is great. Right on a beautiful beach. Close to airport, easy to get in and out. You can hear the planes taking off and landing but as long as your room isn’t directly pointed at the airport we didn’t find that a problem, our one bedroom beachfront suite was the perfect layout for our small family, but that’s the positives. The following are the negatives 1. No working WiFi. It didn’t work. Period. Staff knew, they were unapologetic and offered no resolution. This was a disaster for me as I had planned to work while my family played. We were told it worked in the lobby and business center, it did not. The attitude and communication of the staff= not helpful, indifferent and sometimes outright rude. Cleanliness- it’s an older building but it’s not being well maintained and in our case it was pretty disgusting. Our room had a sewer smell. Sewer gases were backing into the room. We called for help. They sent someone with a deodorizer spray. That just added a new smell to the sewer smell. Our room was not serviced/cleaned for two and a half days. Suite with kitchen was not stocked with basics. If I had more space I would write more. Not recommended
