I think there is a discrepancy between the photos online and what you get when you are there. This place feels like a motel, the rooms are small, the walls are thin, the staffs are kids doing summer jobs, they don't specially care about the customers, the breakfast room is what look like a meeting room with random tables put in, on the good side nothing is terribly bad, the bathroom are new and bed comfortable but the price is like a luxury resort, which it is definitely not.
Also I was a bit surprised they charged me an extra $50 because our 7 year old daughter was with us, maybe it's Carmel thing... not sure, I think at the price of the room they can let a kid sleep without a random extra charge. Sorry I wanted to like it, but they need to either decrease the price or increase the level somehow, I will look for another place next time I'm in Carmel

Our stay at the Stilwell Hotel was absolutely amazing! The property is elegant and beautiful, the staff was extremely attentive, our room was immaculate, and the breakfast buffet was an absolute delight, served beautifully for guests to enjoy either indoors or around the outdoor fire pits and water features. It’s also very conveniently located in walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I would absolutely recommend and hope to be back someday!

Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a stylish base to explore Carmel, this hotel is a fantastic choice. The combination of stunning accommodations and exceptional service makes it a standout destination. I can't recommend it highly enough and look forward to my next visit!

Beautiful and modern room. Pet friendly! Great location with restaurants and shops surrounding it. Walkable distance to the beach! Only issue was the door needed a small screw to close right, but overall loved our stay. Thanks for having us!

This property is brand new and beautifully put together. The property is a small lot, but it has a large feel to it. There are a few sitting areas located throughout the property to enjoy the relaxing sounds of the many water features. Firepits are also arranged throughout the property. Many people had arrived with dogs, and it seemed like a pet-friendly hotel. The breakfast provided in the morning is located in their courtyard, which was a bonus not mentioned on the ******* website when I booked. The breakfast was small plates that were premade and had a good amount to choose from. Oatmeal, potatoes, muffins, french toast, scones, yogurts, smoothies, juices, coffee, and more.

The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Very warm welcome with champagne toast. Nice breakfast. Tasty brick oven pizza. Great location if you want to be able to walk everywhere town. We would stay here again.

Perfect location and the staff were all supe rfriendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as was the pizza!
Only complaint was that the room(#31) was super tight. I would book a second floor room next time... and there will be a next time!

We really enjoyed this new property. The room was great. The atmosphere of the hotel was very nice and fun. It was great to be able to walk to restaurants and shopping and even the beach!
