Bergsicht Country Farm Cottages

What a dream. The room was gorgeous with beautiful scenic views. We stayed for our honeymoon so ordered the romantic surprise, massage and picnic basket- all absolutely divine. The hot tub takes a while to heat up, about 3 hours, but once it does it's very warm. Perfect for winter nights.

Beautiful cottage for 2. Clean, everything works and the block out blinds is an absolute winner! Very well maintained all round.

We had a fabulous weekend at Outpost 1. What an amazing accommodation. Picture perfect - inside and outside. We would definitely recommend this spot and will come back again.

Wonderfully appointed with luxury finishes. A couple of little gifts also added a nice touch. Very convenient for some of the best farms. And very private - only 1 other cabin nearby.

Bergsicht is on a fruit farm a few kms outside of Tulbagh. It is easy to find. The road in is short and in good condition. There are a few cottages in a row along a farm road. Each is private from the other by trees. We stayed in lady red. This cottage is quite tree covered so a limited outlook to the mountains. If you wanted more of an open outlook then choose one of the other cottages. The hot tub was on the deck and nice and private. It takes 4 hours to heat up the water in the tub. We did find the fire box very smoky so shut the doors and windows to keep the smoke out of the cottage. The amenities were excellent. Very peaceful. There is not much in the way of food in Tulbagh so bring what you want with you. Great wine farms in the area.

We absolutely love this gem of a place. A quiet and peaceful getaway with breathtaking views. The hot tub was the cherry on top over looking the mountains and farm. The bed was great, and the cottage had everything you needed . We will definitely be back.
