Elba Carlota Beach & Golf Resort

We booked this last minute, and always wary when reading some of the reviews. The hotel is very clean,the staff are all extremely courteous and helpful, the food choice was excellent, different themes each day, and so much choice, including a variety of kids sweets some days which I love! Lots of places around pools, plus a lovly sandy beach directly outside with gently shelving sand. The animation team were always fun, with mojito making, aqua dancing , 💃, and very friendly.We also had a great deal, so all in all with amazing Sunshine a blessed holiday!

The Elba Carlota is a half hour transfer from the airport. It is set 15 minutes walk from Caleta de Fuste along a beautiful promenade. It is set in beautiful gardens with 2 pools and a separate children’s pool. A beautiful sandy beach is located at the back gate of the hotel and there is shopping close by. My trip was all inclusive and I could not fault the food. All meals were well prepared and presented with a constant changing of dishes keeping the selection fresh. It can get busy at times but just ask staff if there is something that you cannot find. I found Reynaldo, Inez, and Aaron particularly helpful, as well as the new penguina! There is a range of entertainment but I mainly used the lobby bar where there was an excellent selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I was looked after well by Jose, Manuel and Sergio who worked extremely hard to keep everyone served. During the day there is a bar by the pool that has a selection of drinks and snacks and it is always better when Paula is there entertaining everyone! The rooms are excellent and are spotless, as is the whole of the hotel. The reception I only had to use to check in and when leaving but the were very efficient and courteous and spent time with me when checking in as my device would not pick up the wi fi signal initially. The main assets to this hotel are the beautiful location and the amazing staff. Thank you for a relaxing stay!

Flew with jet 2 which I can say was a very good flight and service both ways. The bag check in was great. The hotel itself is lovely and clean, rooms very nice. Food really good - catering for all (will always have some people that moan but I found there is something for everyone). The all inclusive aspect lacks a little in the fact that only 3 cocktails are all inclusive. There is limited bar staff meaning that the service to get a drink can be long. The animation team is about 90% French and when you see their mates come over on holiday and half the team seem more bothered with their mates I wasn’t overly impressed. The holiday was a very nice break and would 100% recommend the hotel. They just need to make all inclusive - all inclusive and improve their bar service & animation team.

2nd time staying here. Last time 6 years ago. We have had the best family holiday and did not want to come home. We were worried due to some reviews however we didn't need to worry. Even though this was during the kids easter holidays and staff were worked really hard, they were all polite, helpful and smiling. Food was hot, good variety and different themes each night. Our kids can be quite fussy usually and always came away full. All areas were kept clean and tidy and housekeeping did a wonderful job each day. Pools were lovely and clean and big enough for multiple families to enjoy at one time. Mostly managed to find sunbeds for 5 of us each day if we wanted them. Weather was hot and aircon worked well. Most areas were quiet in the evening and we had a great night's sleep. As mentioned above all staff were great but we want to say a special thank you to Andrea who was lovely and made our dining experiences even better. Minimal downsides.. neither safes in the room worked and one room the balcony doors didn't fully lock. Decor little run down and could do with a freshen up in certain places round the hotel. And housekeeping, even though cleaning standards were amazing.. towels kept getting missed and they left the balcony doors open on several occasions and we were ground ground floor. These are small things that could be improved but did not affect our holiday and we will without doubt be back as soon as we can. Thank you to all the staff at Elba Carlota :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The food was plentiful & varied. Theme nights were a bonus. Lots of sunbeds,although a few more side tables are needed. The location was good. Fifteen minute walk to the main area, five minutes to the shopping centre. We plan to go back.

We got back yesterday and just wanted to give our review. Good bits 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Polite, friendly helpful staff especially the animation team and kids club team. So good with the kids. The hotel is really clean, room cleaned everyday. Heated pool is fantastic. Self serve soft drinks & hot drinks Water in tanks so you can fill your water bottle Close to the beach Close to the shopping centre with lots of different restaurants . Plenty of sun beds and these are jet washed daily. The Italian was lovely. But the kids portions were far too big. Also try the honey rum and coke . Bad bits 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Not much entertainment but that might the season. The food was not great and we are not fussy at all. The food was poor variety and it was bland. Nothing for children at all and forget it if you’re vegan or vegetarian . The “snack bar” is left overs from breakfast/lunch . Not great. Too many flies but that’s not the hotels fault but was annoying 🤣🤣🤣🫣 Thankfully we didn’t pay a lot of money but I can see why people get mad when they’ve paid £3k to go here and the food is naff. We personally wouldn’t go back…as prices for next year are double what we paid this year and personally don’t think it’s worth it. BUT I would recommend it to people but just if you’re fussy or your kids are then be prepared to have to eat out.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel it was much busier than I thought it would be, meal times were very busy. One or two problems we had were dealt with immediately. Staff on the whole very friendly. Pool areas were fantastic and the food was lovely and a good variety. There were many French guests at this hotel. The reception staff were excellent.

This hotel was wonderful! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Everywhere was clean and well maintained. The quality and choice of drinks were fantastic, loved the choice of slush for kids and adults! Beautiful beach area just outside the gate. Aqua gym everyday was great and some good shows at night too. Room was spacious with a huge bathroom and the view from the balcony was stunning! Could do with a bit more variety of food as it got a bit repetitive but always something to eat and food was hot. Drinks service at meal times was slow and could be improved but we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

Fantastic hotel with not much we could fault. There are arrival drinks for when you check in. You do have to pay 3euros a day for a safe and being half board we had to register a card and set an amount as the hotel is cashless. Rooms are lovely with free tea/coffee that is refilled daily. There is a mini fridge and towels are changed daily. Free showergel, soap etc and hairdryer in bathroom. We requested a room with pool view which we got and glad as some other rooms didnt have a good view or sun on balcony. The food overall was fantastic especially the mexican themed night and arabian night with doner kebabs. We were allowed to swap our evening meal for lunch which we did on one day so we could go out to eat. Heated pool is lovely but larger pool was empty as was too cold for March. Plenty of sunbeds too. Animation team were great and never seemed to stop. Activities such as aqua gym were popular and things on such as foam pool party, football, volleyball, archery etc. The sports courts were a great addition too for older kids. My daughter used the gym every day which had everything you need. There wasnt a lot of evening entertainment on but greatest showman was great and some of the live music. Location was great walk out of gate at back and directly on beach which is lovely and quiet. We walked to market on the Tuesday morning and loved the harbour which was a 15min walk along the beach...theres lots of activities you can book here. There is a shopping centre next door with supermarket and a lovely indian we ate at. We had a trip to oasis wildlife park which is well worth a visit and the bus picks up from hotel daily at 9.30am for 5euro return. We would definitely return to this hotel and loved it that much would look at other Elba hotels.
