Tui Blue Rocador - Adults Only

We have just returned from 5 nights at this hotel and I honestly cannot fault it. We will definitely be returning. This hotel is a 3 star hotel and yet it has qualities of a 5 star hotel. We arrived and given directions to our room on the 4th floor. The room was lovely and clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. There was complimentary water on arrival and a kettle with tea and coffee that was replenished daily. We have travelled all over and yet never stayed in a hotel that 1. Had so many English channels on the tv and 2. Had a safe which can be used free or charge so we were immediately impressed. We booked half board which means drinks are not included so we understood that we had to pay for drinks, unlike other reviews I have read. It was very cheap to upgrade from bed and breakfast to half board so I wasn’t expecting anything amazing. We attended dinner on the first night and I was shocked at how many options there were. There is also a chef cooking fresh meat and fish. The food was wonderful, the restaurant is large so there isn’t any queuing involved. We said to each other I wonder if there is going to be anything bad? We thought maybe breakfast? But nope!! Breakfast was great, everything you can think of. We went the full duration of the stay and couldn’t fault a single thing. If you walk out of the doors at reception you are (almost immediately) in the main square where all the restaurants and bars are and if you go out the back door and down some steps you open a gate onto Cala gran beach- location is 5 stars!! I requested a sea view if possible and was given it and we were told on the last day we could keep our room if we wanted it until our late checkout. Thank you for the stay, all staff and cleaners very helpful and friendly.

I have been returning to this Gem of a Hotel since 1968 when came with my parents and sister . I almost should not be giving such a review to keep it a secret ! Such a wonderful welcome by Beatriz at Reception and my favorite room with welcome cheese,cold meats and bread with fruit and I large bottle of water . The room was spotless as usual and freshly decorated. Jose the Restaurant manager was so wonderful and welcoming to with Susanna ,Antonia ,Pedro, all the wonderful staff from Gardiner to maintenance to Tui Guides , room maids so professional and fastidious.All smile and give a big Mallorcan warmth that makes all the difference to this hotel with a fabulous location , excellent restaurant with amazing selection at breakfast and Dinner . Everything you need is so close with the location,fabulous shops and Marina even a train bus that takes you for €5 all the way around Cala dor in 50 minutes . Some reviews comment on navigation around hotel and I think this would be easier if signage said Reception in lift and signs on walls instead of welcome lounge .i like the variation you can have to spend time on fabulous beach so easy and quick to get to or in beautifully maintained gardens on sun beds or pool area . I find it if of the best ways to meet people by helping with directions around the hotel ! I will be back again in October 🥰

First thing I must say the staff are fantastic and helpful. The hotel or as we found out ‘hotel’s’ need to find its purpose in life. It’s got all you need but seems to lack soul. I think when the two hotels joined together they didn’t know where to put bits. The bar is lovely but never busy. It could do with some entrainment eg piano playing. The outdoor pool and entertainment area was inclosed and uninviting. Indoor pool cold, sauna out of service. Gym was good with a good view of the beach. Food repeated a lot but tasty and even better when I found where the hot plates were kept. Room’s definitely need updating, air con was quite on the lowest speed. The door to the balcony only locked at the top. Reported it but still the same when we left. Hotel very quite and we could just see the beach and sea which was a much better view than the pool view. Town-a lot of restaurants, bars and tourist shops packed in. Lovely beach thou can get very busy. Hotel and town clean, unlike England no dog poo or stray animals around. Overall lovely hotel but could do so much better. Suggest for over 60s and those who don’t mind long distance travelling for days out

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Rocador, the pool, beach and staff were all excellent. You can’t fault the food in the buffet restaurant there is something for everyone at this hotel. a very short walk to the bars, shops and restaurants of Cala d'or. The rooms are great for an active stay but if you’re looking for a room with a view or that's cool to sit out on then pay for the pool or sea view upgrade, our balcony was overlooking the reception area which meant from 3:00pm you couldn't sit out as it was too hot as your directly facing the sun. My only negative to the hotel was the breakfast on departure day. We had an early flight, before the restaurant would normally open, but I was informed they would open at 3:00am for early flights, big thumbs up. But there was no thought into what was available. no milk, no cereal, toasters not switched on. we had a vast array of cheese, meat, olives and pickles?? and some yoghurt, the chefs priority's were all wrong taking time to lay out his cheeses and pickles? instead of offering something we could eat for breakfast, we left hungry and grumpy. Overall an amazing hotel in an amazing location, just sort the breakfast out on departure day. Top tip - get a pool or sea view if you want to use your balcony, if you’re out of the room more than in it then don't worry.

The hotel is clean, light and airy with great facilities. There is a good choice of food of a good quality. Most importantly the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. After 4 days I had a problem with my room due to health issues and very inconsiderate neighbours. Within an hour of speaking to reception I had a new room far from the aforementioned. A huge thank you to Oussama, I am not someone who complains and was uncomfortable doing so, he made me feel comfortable and at ease in an uncomfortable situation and I am truly grateful for his kindness and professionalism.

The hotel is very well located the food is acceptable all the staff is friendly. I would like to talk specifically about the reception all are young and friendly guys who are always with a smile we had a problem with the WIFI was not working in our room and after talking to BEATRIZ more than 4 times did not want to give me any solution knowing that I needed it to work. When I went and she wasn't there, they solved all the problems and details that I didn't like in 10 minutes. In short, the best thing about the hotel is the reception staff except Beatriz, no matter what the problem is, they will solve it for you, just don't talk to her

The hotel is recently refurbed & is immaculately maintained. Every area is clean and comfortable with a modern & light, beach house- feel. The staff are mostly older and it is very apparent in their hard work ethic and genuinely friendly demeanour. A hotel is only as good as its staff and they are a definitely a credit to the company. Most notably: Jose & his team in the restaurant and Jesus in the bar, all fantastic, nothing too much trouble. The food options were not as varied as other places we have stayed but there are enough options including vegetarian/vegan to satisfy most. The location is excellent with immediate access from the rear to a beach nestled in a beautiful cove. Would stay again, thank you to all the staff who made our stay a memorable one.

We originally booked this hotel for our 2020 family holiday after we fell in love with Cala D’or in 2018. The TUI welfare department recommended Rocador due to my husband’s limited mobility. There is Step-less access to all areas and the beach, albeit the scenic route, and via two(very slow) lifts. There are steps down to the beach a through a door operated with your room key. The location is ideal for the beautiful Cala Gran and the town with many bars, shops and restaurants. The beach has sun beds for hire at €15 for two and includes a shade and a safe, which was perfect to hold phones and wallet while swimming in the perfectly clear waters of the Cala. All areas of the hotel were spotless and the staff so helpful and friendly. A special mention has to go to Jose, the restaurant manager. He was always genuinely pleased to see you at breakfast, dinner, or at the pool bar. The rooms were will equipped, beds comfortable, air con effective and the doors soundproof, we were close to a neighbouring hotel with loud entertainment round their pool, but it did not disturb us in the room. The small fridge ideal for chilling water and cans of drinks. The food was of good quality and a good variety. Water, juice, and coffee all available at breakfast. The one disappointment was there was no free beverage to accompany dinner, although you could order drinks which were charged at reasonable prices. The BBQ that were could go to once during our stay was excellent. We will definitely be back to Rokador.

Arrived at the hotel one-day and was very pleased with the reception staff in arrival. Room was very clean on arrival, but was very disappointed with space for clothes,only 10 hangers available to hang cloths. after unpacking what we could any exploring the hotel. The layout of the hotel is very confusing for finding your way around the hotel with very poor signage e.g. to get to the restaurant from our room we had to go from level 1 to level 4,walk down to level 3 then do a marathon walk past many bedrooms to get lift down to level 2. To get back to our room was a nightmare. On the 2nd day of our visit the lift was out of order so have to go upstairs to get anywhere,this was the same every day until we left 5 days later with no explanation from hotel staff as to what the problem was. We heard that this was not the first time this has happened. On the the last day we did have a note in our room apologising for the disruption with two(2) small sweet as way of compensation. I will say that the food at the hotel was of good quality and rooms were very clean. The pool area was also kept very clean but for evening entertainment the pool bar area was too small. I holiday with Tui on regular basis but this is one hotel I will not recommend.
