The loveliest hotel with the comfiest rooms and the most amazing breakfast and one of the tastiest marmalades i've ever had! Our hosts were just the right side of friendly without being intrusive. Right in the centre of Houlgate, the hotel is well situated to walk to all the great local restaurants and the beach . After dropping our bags off we parked around the corner from the hotel and the car was perfectly safe and within easy reach for our day trips out. All in all a great stay in a lovely hotel. Thank you we will be back. (And if you could remind me of the brand of marmalade you use i would be very grateful as i'm missing it in a morning!)

We enjoyed our visit at Houlgate: a nice little town with a beautiful beach and a weekend jazz festival, good food and close to historic places and other interesting towns and villages. The hotel was cosy, the room was a bit hot, but with open window not a big issue. However, good to know that the seaside is also straight towards the main street. Briac was an excellent host at the reception, he made us feel welcome and gave great tips for interesting visits.

After returning from the Loire Valley, we only stayed overnight before returning to the UK on the early morning ferry the next day. We arrived early afternoon to a friendly and informative welcome from the woman on reception (it may have been Briac?). Everything was as it should be and we were directed to where to park. Centrally located and very convenient for local restaurants and the beach - and also the ferry terminal at Ouistreham. We hope to return next year for a longer stay to explore both the coast towards Honfleur and inland.

The perfect hotel for a beach holiday in northern France. The bedroom/suite (Room 201) was very large, very clean, very modern and spacious. The separate bathroom had a bath shower arrangement, with the shower head mounted no higher than chest height. The bath had a relatively high side which for my 64 year old body proved to be hard to access in/out. The breakfast was wonderful: ham/cheeses/remoulade/cereals, french breads/ confitures/croissants and a wonderful boil the egg baine marie machine -all self service but the owner on hand to help! Very good value for location and access to shops/Restaurants - great Thursday morning market. Highly recommended

Located in busy area but quiet. One way street with rare parking so we booked an indoor parking with hotel for 18€ 2 blocks from hotel. Comfortable and clean.

This is very beautiful hotel and the location is excellent. All people working there were friendly and helpful. We stayed on the third floor with a view to the sea and it was really beautiful. The room was a bit warm so we slept the window open and liked that a lot.
