Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Went for a quick “babymoon” getaway - came without great expectations, just some relaxing time by the pool to decompress. Instead was blown away by the beauty of the location and the top-notch service. Stayed in Room 25 (a generous upgrade from our booking) and I don’t believe the photos on the website does the place justice! Incredible views of the ocean, and the plunge pool was so key to the experience. Francisco was our concierge and he left the most adorable baby shoes and hand drawn card on our bed at check in, knowing it was our babymoon. When we mentioned to the staff showing us our room that we were actually expecting twins, another pair of booties and another adorable card showed up at turn-down! Knowing I was worried about mosquito bites, he also sent along insect repellent in the evening without any prompting whatsoever. The guacamole and coronas at Happy Hour in the room is such a simple but nice touch. At breakfast, the waiter (I forgot his name!) immediately brought me a pillow for my back without asking. The poolside staff were always quick to bring waters, refills, and move your umbrella for the perfect shading. We were lucky we caught the end of whale season as we would just spend the day laying out and watching whales breech in the ocean in front of us! Food was always delicious - El Farallon is a magical venue. I do wish there were a la carte options so I could sample even more seafood than just the main course. The grilled fish we had was truly perfect though. The blackened shrimp we enjoyed at the family pool restaurant was outstanding. Also - the hotel was at full occupancy (we were told) while we were there, and while it was busy, the service never faltered and the place never felt crowded. I am gluten free and there were always ample options and substitutions made for me - including amazing gluten free churros, and even gluten free cookies to take-away on our car ride to the airport!!! We will definitely be back- hopefully with our 2 babies in tow the next time!

Arrival through Mexico’s only private tunnel- this hidden gem tucked within the mountain offers spectacular Pacific ocean views. Attention to detail with each step. The Only resort to boast of both sunrises & sunsets. Each room has its own plunge pool & balcony with daily amenities delivered to the room. Great Mexican cultural immersion - from the tasteful decorations, mouth watering cuisine with a twist & authentic spa offering Mexican folk healing inspiration.

Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. Marleny at concierge was highly communicative and professional. She assisted me in ordering a birthday cake for my spouse which was delivered to our room upon arrival. Manuel at the front desk was also very kind and helpful. The staff made my spouse feel very special with room upgrade, candle pottery gift, and birthday greetings from the staff. The amazingly hospitable staff is what makes this resort extra special. The grounds and rooms are immaculate. The view of the ocean is spectacular. We enjoyed El Farallon, but especially recommend Don Manuel’s with the warm staff and delicious food. We also loved the tacos and drinks at the beach club. We did not want to leave and plan on returning in the future.

We had such an amazing stay at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos! As a Hilton Diamond member, we got upgraded to a 3 Bedroom Ocean View Villa. We also enjoyed the breakfast at Don Manuel’s, but I especially want to give kudos to Cesar, Aramis, and Arturo (the restaurant captain) for providing exceptional service and going above and beyond to ensure we’re taken care of. We’re already planning to come back next Spring break.

Incredible hotel. The entire staff was exceptionally attentive, friendly and professional looking out for all of our personal needs to make it an unforgettable experience. The ocean views certainly helped In complementary bucket of iced Beer, chips, guacamole and pico de gallo. Raquel, a concierge at the Waldorf was a tentative with our transportation from the airport, activities Impersonal request started weeks before we even arrived. Raquel was extremely nice and friendly, professional and efficient and communicating with us. We also had exceptional service from Salvador Y Regulo at breakfast and lunch. Salvador was so pleasant and friendly Added to our wonderful experience. Can’t say enough good things about Salvador, Raquel The rest of the staff and the Waldorf environment.

Amazing near perfect experience, as expected. This was our third visit. Our favorite meal of the day is breakfast. Everything is simple yet superb. Our servers were awesome - I wish we could have gotten their names. The whole group deserves recognition since we were there 5 days and they were all top notch. This was at Don Manuel. They should all be recognized for how hard they work and how consistent their service is. Truly. We saw Yoel and Aramis and they were the same amazing servicers like last time. For dinner at Don Manuel , I wanted to shout out the manager in change during our stay (maybe April 1), we had a slight delay and the manager really went out of his way to take care of things. We went expecting it so it was just another story of how great the service is. We spent a lot of time at the pool. Their kiddy pool and family pools are a favorite. We really enjoyed the pool staff service as well , especially Michael and Fernando P. Again, all were great but these two young men were always warm and hospitable. The bell/ golf cart team, Ricky is always amazing to us. He knows my son loves rides so he will always offer when he’s free. Raymundo is always so pleasant and warm. This team is truly such an asset to the experience. One very welcomed touch was the staff at the San Jose airport. We booed our ride to the airport though the hotel and the staff stayed w us after drop off, to the check in, guided us the whole way, and didn’t leave our side until he was forced to, to ensure we were ok. As a family at a hectic foreign airport, this was so appreciated. Somhout out to Javier. Another amazing team is housekeeping. They’re always perfect. I believe our staff members name was Michelle but I can be mistaken. The room was always perfect and our requests were always worked on quickly and w ease. Valaria, the lady that would deliver the daily snacks, is always so incredibly warm and hospitable. She’s always such a pleasure to see. Lastly, I think some of my favorite people are the concierge team. Our concierge , Raquel , made sure I had her Whatts app since my texts was having issues and she can be reached. Danna and Fabian are team members we met from past visits. I was so happy to see them doing well and catching up w them. Since this is our third time back, there’s a familiarity I really like, almost as if we were friends.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. However, we are EXTREMELY disappointed with our 5 day stay this week. The hotel booked a weekend wedding, which took over the entire hotel. The common areas were being used by wedding guests for the ceremony and party… and we weren’t allowed to be there. The signature restaurant, El Farallon, was closed entirely on Saturday and was unavailable for reservations until 9:30 the on all the other days, all due to the party. Saturday night, there was loud music blasting until 12:30 am, with drunk people yelling and carrying on. If the hotel wants to book a hotel wedding that is fine, but it’s completely unacceptable to charge the full rate (which is astronomical) and not allow us to utilize the hotel in its entirety. Very unfair. I hope management at Waldorf corrects this, or we won’t be returning.

We stayed at the WA Pedegral fro 6 nights, leaving this morning. There was a lot they got right but also some things that I think could be improved. Prior to arrival we were told that the refinement period would overlap our stay and many things would be closed. We hemmed and hawed about keeping our reservation and opted to do so but I do think I would pass on the refinement period for a stay. They closed the main restaurant which moved everyone to the beach club which was near our building and caused a bit more noise in the mornings. I was most disappointed to not be able to see the spa as it was part of what was being worked on during the refinement period. Hopefully next time. We were upgraded one category based on Diamond status, which primarily seemed to affect view. The room was spacious and nice however, the bed was all uncomfortable to me. We also had the AC set to the lowest setting but it could never quite get there despite being on all day. We tried the adult pool one day but they were beginning work on it and it was not peaceful so we opted to not return. It had lovely seating options to swim up to the bar if it were open. The other pool was quite crowded and had a lot of children, so we only went once. We did try the taco tasting but unfortunately something did not sit well with my husband and we ended up having to leaving 1/2 way through because he became visibly ill, which I ended up cleaning up and asking to leave and settle our bill early. All of the staff were fantastic, but that it a large expense for something we did not get to fully enjoy. Perhaps offering to send the next courses to my room so I could have finished dinner would have been nice. We also did the sunset dinner cruise and the boat and transport staff could not have been kinder. Given the recent storm off the coast it was quite rough on the way out. However, all of the food had several flies landing on and off of it so we opted to not eat any of it, although it looked to be a nice selection of appetizers. Their ATM onsite was broken and never worked during our stay. This made it impossible to get any funds to provide adequate tips to any staff helping us unless we could leave it on our card or to the room. We dined at Don Manuel’s one evening and it was fantastic! We dined at El Farrallon once, which was lovely but limited selections mostly seafood options. I was a little disappointed that hotel guests did not seem to get priority for seating near the ocean and we were instead at an upper level. Every staff member was kind and greeted us. I would say the level of service was closer to a Four Seasons than any other Waldorf we have stayed in (we have stayed in several) so that is an absolute plus on staying here. This is a solid points redemption for fellow Hilton Diamond members. .

Excellent stay, possibly the friendliest and most attentive staff we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Our 4 night stay was fantastic, we had a 3rd floor ocean view room with a plunge pool and it was amazing. We watched whales during the day from our plunge pool and enjoyed all the luxuries of the room itself. One of the best hotels I've stayed at, which is expected for the price point. Restaurants were also excellent and I didn't find anything not to my liking. Location is nice too as you can walk to the downtown area and marina. Also close to multiple dining options, and your personal concierge provides excellent recommendations. The afternoon chips, salsa and beers were also a nice touch! Hope to return again as we really enjoyed our stay.
