The Wuzhen Guesthouse (Wuzhen Minsu) is a charming waterside guesthouse located in Wuzhen, a canal town located in between Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. Made up of a collection of local residences, the Wuzhen Guesthouse straddles the southern and northern banks of the Shihe River.The 292 guest rooms range from standard rooms, single rooms, triple rooms and family suites and face either the river or the ancient street. Décor consists of the traditional style found in lower reaches of Yangtze River; white walls, simple wooden furniture and blue and white batik fabrics. Some rooms feature four poster beds. Despite their ancient style, all rooms are equipped with modern conveniences, including free broadband Internet access and guests also have the opportunity to experience local life with the residence landlords and their families.

The previous life of the hotel was built by the Qian family, who did business in the late Qing Dynasty. The whole old house was a typical garden building in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Later, it was renovated to integrate the modern new Chinese style, which not only retained the century-old architectural culture, but also reflected the modern elegant atmosphere. In the Spring Festival of 1999, the neighbors caught fire. The first building was burned, and then the fire wall was preserved. In 2004, it was fully repaired according to the original layout structure of the hall. In order to strengthen the residents' awareness of fire prevention and the witness of history, the door that year was burned in that year was retained. As the saying goes: the fire is prosperous and the ingots rolled in. I also hope that the guests will have a lot of money.

Shiyu homestay is outside of the Xizha Wuzhen scienic area, 1.2kilometers distance to the south entrance. We have 14 rooms with different decoration. On the first floor, there are coffee bar, Chinese tea area, bookshelf, relax-seating area and so on. We provide free pick-up service from our homestay to the south entrance of Xizha scienic area( the same as the opposite direction) twice during stay.
