The Triton

We really enjoyed our time at the Triton apar**ents. The building is clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and daily housekeeping was very good. The staff are welcoming and friendly. We loved that our unit had a balcony with a view of the sea and promenade. The kitchen was great to have as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The unit was immaculately clean & I enjoyed the kitchenette. However, nothing excuses the overall poor communication on multiple levels! 1. Receiving numerous emails regarding self check-in instructions (inc the apt #) only to arrive & be met by a rude receptionist who lectures about check-in... She also inquired & received confirmation that I'm traveling alone. 2. I'm told explicitly that there will be no cleaning service because I have a short stay (3 nights). I say that's fine; I don't need cleaning. However, on Sunday morning, I am woken to find a STRANGER INSIDE THE APAR**ENT!! Given that I left the door locked with the key in the door (for added security), I was TERRIFIED!! 3. I contact management in writing - still no response. 4. Later that day, I encounter the same receptionist. She gaslights me saying that she told me at check-in that I would only have cleaning "one day on, one day off." NO. I know what I heard, remember my exact reply and above all else, how does someone enter when I've locked it from the inside with the key still in the lock?!? 5. Also, there was no signage or evidently other means to prevent anyone from entering the unit without my knowledge/consent. I've never felt so scared & unsafe as a solo traveler. And the Triton's utter disregard not to mention gaslighting highlights that they don't care for their guests' overall well-being. I left that night so I could feel both I and my belongings were safe. Good luck if you choose to stay here.

Have stayed here twice now in the last couple of years. The Triton is highly recommended. Staff and management are an asset. Rooms are kept very clean and well supplied. Any problems have been ironed out immediately. Air con was a saviour this last week with the 40 degree heat. Will always stay at the Triton when we return to Malta.

10 min walk from bus station, well placed for exploring Bugibba. There was some building work on properties nearby but caused no disturbance. Friendly, helpful reception and cleaning staff. Well maintained room with modern bathroom, living area a little dated. A microwave would have been useful and if the 2 English movie channels had worked, only had english news and travel shows.

Clean and easy to find. Free & safe parking always available on the street in front. Close to a good little beach beyond the aquarium for short swims, also close to the main road for public transport but no noise issues. Our family suite was so much bigger than we expected, a real little 2 bedroom appar**ent, we were very pleasantly surprised. Limited kitchenware but OK still. Bugibba is a short walk away & is good for evenings out & getting something to eat, it's also from where a lot of boat tours leave for seeing Gozo/Comino.

Just returned from an excellent holiday and stay at the The Triton. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We arrived around 10pm and the self check in is very easy, door code and then room keys at Reception to collect. The rooms are a little basic but more than met our needs, especially as we came to see Malta as tourists and not spend the day in the apar**ent. Bugibba bus station is a few minutes walk, where you can get a bus to anywhere on island. Also next to the bus station is a supermarket, we used this and the apar**ent have a kitchen. What exceeded our expectations, was how nice the manager (Carl) was even after we checked out. Carl gave us another set of keys to the front door and a spare luggage room, meaning we can keep our luggage there as out flight back was very late, Carl even mentioned that we are welcome to stay in the foyer area which has a toilet/shower, sofas, Carl even put on the AC and TV in the foyer should we wish to wait there.

The apar**ent is very clean, quiet and has a good staff. Every two days the staff questioned us if we want the room service (clean the room and change the towels, pillows case, etc) The bus stop (2 minutes walking) and a lot of cafes and restaurants were close by.

The place was located right next to the water, budget friendly with all facilities and spacious room. The staff was friendly. Satisfied with the experience. We were a group of three friends and the room was spacious enough to accomodate with an amazing view of the sea. The bustop and the reataurants were closeby and the National aquarium was right near the place.
