B&B de Vijf Zuilen

We had a weekend break in Bruges and stayed in this quirky B&B. It is situated about a 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Bruges although there is also a handy ‘bus (No. 6) which it takes you into the city for €2.5. The B&B is a large house set in a fairly large garden which has places to sit out in clement weather (which unfortunately we did not have!). There is also a lounge in a garden room for the use of guests which has a bar, games including table football and a large screen television in addition to the tvs in the bedrooms. The bedrooms set aside for guests are up a steep stair off a landing which is set up with tables and chairs for breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and furnished with antique furniture, ornaments and many, many lamps. They have en-suite bath/showers and tea/coffee making facilities and are supplied with towels and soap/shower gel/shampoo. Ginette, the owner, is a wonderful hostess, welcoming us with a drink and always ready to chat and ask us about our day. I cannot speak highly enough of the breakfasts she produced. Fresh juice, fresh fruit, granola, chocolate mousse, smoked salmon and stuffed cherry tomatoes, cheeses and cold meats and a basket of different breads. She even supplied sandwich bags and encouraged us to make a lunch to take out with us. I shall be coming back to Bruges in the future I’m sure and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The owner immediately made us feel welcome and at home. Breakfast was perfect and rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We received a lovely welcome from Ginette for our 3 day stay. We enjoyed a drink in the man cave whilst looking at the map and Ginette giving us hints and tips on the city and also telling us stories from her and her husbands exciting life The breakfasts were something else. Never have we experienced such a variety and different things each day. A great start to the day We were shown around all the bedrooms and they are all really nice and full of character. The complimentary port helped us sleep soundly each night! All in all a great break and thoroughly recommend staying here

The welcomming is very friendly and you feel immediatly at home in this wonderful and romantioc B&B The decoration of this place is as in went back in the time of my parents , very tasteful and original. The breakfast is amazing, original, with a lot of variation and a value of a 5 star restaurant

La estancia en la casa de Ginette ha sido maravillosa. Te hace sentir super agusto, como si estuvieras en tu propia casa. Destacar lo amable y servicial que es Ginette. Sus desayunos son lo mejor, caseros, variados y con una presentación fuera de lo común. Sin duda es de las mejores estancias que hemos tenido y si volvemos a Brujas repetiremos. Super recomendable

Nos atraía mucho conocer Brujas, la Venecia del Norte. Nos gustó la pequeña ciudad. Sin embargo la experiencia vivida en manos de Ginette ha acaparado todos nuestros recuerdos. Ginette es: delicadeza, detalles, familiaridad, bondad, en fin, es un amor de persona que ocupa un lugar en nuestro corazón y su hospedaje es un viaje a los cuentos de hadas. B&B splendido soggiorno da jinet signora meravigliosa colazione che non puoi dimenticare consigliatissimo a tutte le coppie che vogliono passare qualche giorno indimenticabile . C'è il posto auto molto comodo x chi vuole raggiungere il centro di Bruges a piedi dista solo mezzora di strada dal BB .jinet molto disponibile ti spiega tutto sulla cartina che ti fornisce lei meravigliosa jinet un bacione grande grande da Enrico e Cristina

L'accoglienza della proprietaria è stata meravigliosa, con drink di benvenuto ci ha fornito un pò di notizie utili per visitare Bruges. La camera era incantevole, molto romantica, curata in ogni minimo dettaglio e fornita di tutto il necessario, c'era anche un ventilatore viste le torride giornate del periodo. Accogliente, luminosa, letti comodi, pulitissima, wi-figratuito. Il parcheggio è gratuito, ampio, sul retro della casa, all'interno della proprietà e c'è anche un bel giardino ben tenuto. La colazione che ci ha servito la signora è stata una delle migliori mai avute in tutti i nostri viaggi, tutto freschissimo e preparato con una cura dei dettagli che raramente si trova, frutta fresca, yogurt, salmone, uova, budino, spremuta di arancia, pane, croissant... Inoltre ci ha anche fornito un sacchettino per portare via panini o briosh avanzati, visto che era tutto davvero molto abbondante. Le camere e la saletta colazione sono al primo piano ed essendo una casa antica non c'è l'ascensore. La posizione in cui si trova il B&B è tranquilla, a circa 30 minuti a piedi dal centro di Bruges, a cui si arriva con una passeggiata gradevole. C'è la possibilità di utilizzare una navetta gratuita che si prende a pochi minuti a piedi e passa ogni 20 minuti (l'ultima passa circa alle 18.20). Un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il soggiorno ha superato le nostre aspettative, assolutamente consigliato.
