We booked for two nights and the website clearly showed the type of room to expect but if you keep swiping you see the terrible 3rd floor rooms that have no windows just a skylight with no view I would never have stayed at this hotel had we known we were in an attic we tried to move but we’re told there was no other choice the room itself was awful with the roof line reducing the actual usable room size by 50 per cent .The hotel itself looks tired and under staffed .We realised the restaurant was going to be a disaster and cancelled our booking to eat in it .The fitness room was just a room with nothing in it just an empty room.I would not recommend staying unless you know the actual room you are going to be in as the rooms in the attic will ruin your stay.

We had a lovely stay at Palacio Tondon. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The location right next to the Ebro River is very cool. They offer a nice breakfast every morning. The service is outstanding across the board…very friendly, helpful people.

I would not recommend Palacio. The building is beautiful but that’s really where it stops. We were only told 1 day before we arrived that the hotel had been bought by the Marriot. All the charm that we had originally booked for was definitely no longer there. If you book, be sure not to get a room on the 3rd floor. You won’t get a window, just a sky light with no view, and if you’re tall, you’ll hit your head on the attic eaves. In the rooms, the showers do not have a wall or door, so beware that you’re just showering in the middle of the room. They also give you just 2 flat pillows on the bed. For a 4 star hotel with hundreds of good reviews that was shocking. We had to request additional pillows which were brought to us, but that’s just one example of seriously lacking comforts for a room that costs so much. The waiters were all really nice, but it’s so clear they are severely understaffed and you feel bad asking for things The location is fine, but be aware you’ll have to drive everywhere. The only place to eat is the hotel, and the food is pretty uninspiring.

Good hotel, great restaurant. Does not have parking, but you have spots close to the hotel. In our room, Shower was inside the room.

Had to change room three times due to issues but once settled it was fine. Rooms are okay, need to keep on top of maintenance with showers leaking. Breakfast was good - location also good .

Beautiful hotel in a very pretty location by the river Ebro in a small village of Brinas. Very thoughtful and accommodating staff. Well decorated and functional rooms. We were on a 1st floor with a view of the river. The hotel has a nice terrace where breakfast and dinner is served. There is a very pretty trail along the river from the hotel to wineries in Haro. Takes about 40 min to get there. Breakfast was plentiful - the only issue was a chaotic service at breakfast on a first day we were there but it improved the following days.

We stayed two nights at Palacio Tondón and were so pleased with it. We redeemed Marriott points for our stay and were greeted by a 375 ml bottle of La Rioja region wine and a kind letter. The hotel was spotless and furnished beautifully throughout, the rooms were beautiful and full of natural light, and the breakfasts were beautifully presented and had an artisanal feel. Lots of great hiking and trails nearby, and it’s a 30 minute hike or five minute drive to Bodega Muga, which we would highly recommend.

We had 4 days in this amazing hotel! every detail was handled so our stay was smooth and happy. Our Room was beautiful, spotless and overlooking a beautiful river and vineyards! Our favorite spot was the large back patio with relaxing chairs and the river running behind the hotel. The staff at the bar took such wonderful care of us with local wine suggestions and some local favorite cocktails. Breakfast was full of goodies like pasteries, meats and cheeses as well as freshly made eggs to order. Parking was in the town but we didnt have any problems finding a spot. The Restaurant was small and just had a few dinner choices. It would have been wonderful to have a menu translation available. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend Palacio Tondon for a visit to the Rioja Wine area.
