Close to “white kangaroo viewing” but motel is very basic and in desperate need of renovation- staff shortages when we were there meant restaurant was closed but I doubt we would have been tempted anyway

I was so disappointed .
Arrived and noticed that no other keys were taken.man at desk said that people were coming later..
Number 15 was given to us right near the Highway.
No other cars looked deserted.
Was staying with child and for over $100 expected something but not this.
Opened the door and saw the bed sunken down.
Curtains had extra curtains hanging by string over the top.
Duct tape on back of door which didn’t close properly.
Musty smell and dust.
Bathroom door had blood smeared on it.
Told my daughter was not safe here.
Went back to reception and told them blood on door and couldn’t stay here.
Was told really?
Was offered a different room but gave my key back and ran .
Had paid already on wotif.
Feelings of Norman gates motel.
Drive to Keith safer and same price for a real room.
Wotif or motel inspectors need to get off their butts and see what is happening in these motels !!!!

Perfectly sufficient for an overnight stay. Late check in was easy, lovely staff. But noisy from the highway but we expected that. Old facilities but a comfy bed and had everything we needed for a quick sleep. There is a kettle,, toaster & microwave but no crockery or cutlery besides for tea/coffee - mugs & spoons. Thanks for having us!

The room was hot went to turn A/C on and the vents were that dusty it would have been unhygienic. There was nothing in the room no plates no knifes or forks to use at all. Bed was supper uncomfortable you could feel the springs and the pillows were terrible. Wouldn’t stay there again

This was a pit stop on a road trip. The staff are very helpful. The room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster & electric blanket but was very dated with peeling plaster in the bathroom and enamel peeling in the sink. It's a short drive to the main town. If you don't mind constant traffic and railroad noise and basic accommodation then this is the place to stay.
