Mayas

I reached Mayas at around 9 Pm Located absolutely in typical bengali Village. Its approximately 10 KM From Bolpur station.We took a toto. We were moving through a metal road. Sometimes through Orchard. While checking im a mild Tagore song yune was touching my heart.Front office and dinning hall are together. A walkway through trees and plant took us to our room at 2nd floor. The room is well atranged. Their food preparation is good. They have a swiming pool. Despite everything they have cultured the habit of silence. From roof top you can see all around empty field. We really enjoyed our brief stay.

They had me at the warm welcome. The staff are mostly local…sweet, simple & so accommodating. The food is great. It’s helpful to place your order in advance as it takes time to prepare. But this is only because it’s so fresh. The rooms are nice and provide for all the basic amenities. Some have jacuzzis and are great for families. They’re all done differently which gives each a very unique feel. They have a decent pool and a lovely terrace which i used both in the morning for my workout and In the evening, to gaze at the stars. You need your own transport to get to the city which is about 15 minutes away. It’s not 5 star but is very comfortable and tasteful.

Horrible stay. Dont ever think of booking this property. Dead lizard and cockroach in the pool and jacuzzi of the property. Flies all over the bedroom and living room. Cockroach flying over the food. Dont ever book this property.

Exceptional resort with a fantastic swimming pool and inviting rooms. The pool area was a paradise - clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by lush landscapes. The rooms were a haven of comfort, offering a blend of modern amenities and cozy ambiance. I enjoyed every moment, from relaxing by the pool to unwinding in my luxurious room. A truly rejuvenating stay that exceeded my expectations!

Nice place to visit once u decided to go out on weekends... Ambience are really good...well maintained pool ... Rooms are clean.... unique rooms and i get one Alexa that + 1 for the rooms.. surrounded by greenery trees..they ***aged a great candle light dinner for us ..and we had a new experience of floating breakfast.....

Mayas at Ruppur, Shantineketan is one of the best hotels there. Visited Mayas recently and stayed 3 nights. Let me describe a few pros and cons of Mayas. Pros: - situated outside of Bolpur, secluded location, surrounded by green and green only - very comfortable stay - staffs are not trained properly but always trying their best to serve guests with smiling faces - 3rd floor super deluxe rooms are the best with 2 common terraces. One can have food there and enjoy nature - Super suite rooms have attached personal terrace which is at 2nd floor. These suites have 2 rooms and can accommodate max 6 adults. Only challenge is one bathroom - upholstery, bed etc are clean and well maintained - swimming pool is small but well maintained - food is mostly good and tasty Cons: - hotels seems big in picture which is not the case - staffs are not trained professionally - dining area is infested by lots of flies which is very unhygienic - parking area is too small to hold even 5 cars and had a lot of difficulty getting in and out of hotel - breakfast is not even basic at this price and category of hotel. Providing just bread, boiled egg or omelette Or luchi/ sobji etc. Even tea, coffee are not included in CP plan - swimming pool rules were not adhered at all. People were using pool at late night, sometime loud as well

This resort doesn't deserve 3* .I will give fair explanation why I said so . We booked super suite from their website ,which cost us nearly 8k. We thought it will be a luxurious suite. one of their employees called us to confirm our booking then we came to know it's actually for 7 person accomodation suite ,so we asked him to check if normal room is there we can shift to that, if needed we will stay 2 day's to match the price..but we got no reply after multiple follow ups with him.atlast we decided to go there and talk to them directly. When we went there asked for the same ,they refused to help us with different room.we didn't go ahead and argue with them thinking it's ok as it's a super suite it will be good ,will have more space and service will be good ,let's take it. But..... When we had seen the room ,it was heart break 💔.I will post the video as well for better understanding.rooms are not maintained atall.4 beds in a small room with little space to walk around not a proper wordrobe is there ..for females to get ready ,you have to use washroom that's also very tight in space. Bath rooms are not cleaned properly.stain in all over the places,mosses, dust every where. Locks were broken,they had to fix after we checked in. Router not working.so no wifi. Now service ...half of the menu item they don't have ,if you are asking a mere paneer tikka that also they are not able to provide.In lunch they took advance booking stating that ,we will not get food if we don't order prior. They failed to provide a simple idly in break fast ,we had order breakfast 7.15 am,we got it 9.45 am. The quality of food is average.The cost is not that much although. Also it doesn't qualify as a resort as the total area is very less ,they have nothing except a pool ,there is no space to roam around atleast.Dinning area is open ,so in cold nights it's impossible for you to have dinner over there in open should have a closed place or resturant for guests who are not comfortable eating in room. Outside of the resort maintained properly as the space is very less to be not maintained 😂 Location.. it's in ruppur which is quite far of you don't have own car.8 km from Sonajhuri hat now you can calculate other place. I have been to shantiniketan ***y time almost every winter I go there to enjoy rustic food,vibe but I couldn't stay 1 more day this year,My personal experience is very bad this time. So I will not recommend anyone to go over there . Rather than this choose any BNB ,atleast sanitation and hygiene, cleanliness will be maintained
