The building is beautiful as is the art work. Excellent pool and wonderful gardens giving easy access to the beach. Service is very attentive and the meals are extremely good ( great banana bread!). A great place to relax and enjoy a few days of rest. It is good value for money and food and drink is very reasonable but don’t get your laundry done here it is ridiculously expensive.

Отдыхали в этом месте не первый раз, год назад все прошло отлично, и поэтому при богатстве выбора предложений на острове решили не искушать судьбу и опять остановиться тут (были приняты с еще большим радушием чем годом ранее), тем более что цена проживания более чем устраивала. Номер был на втором этаже отдельно стоящего здания, и сам номер с дополнительным этажом, где располагалась дополнительная кровать для ребенка, что очень удобно. Ресторан все так же хорош, отличные (одинаковые) завтраки с прекрасным обслуживанием, проводили и ужины, все на отличном уровне. Уборка номеров несколько раз в день, стабильный интернет, пополняемые ванные принадлежности, халаты и тапочки (женского размера), винтажные двери, мебель, ставни, все как на картинках. Что порадовало, так это что весь персонал за год не сменился, все те же лица, одна команда! В этом году отмечу что тропинка к пляжу ухожена, каждое утро выровнена, на пляже появился указатель отеля. Бассейн, полотенца, все чистое и приятное для использования. Пляж в районе отеля безлюдные и очень плавный заход, волн можно не бояться, но с другой стороны мелковато, чтобы поплавать, а на глубине уже сильные волны. Но конечно это место про другое, релакс, прекрасная природа, колорит ЖД, архитектуры, и даже "прикрепленные" тук-тукеры (привет бородач АСанта!). Не пожалели что очередные 10 дней провели в этом практически уже родном месте.

Прекрасное место! Тихий, спокойный отдых с первоклассным обслуживанием. При заселении нам улучшили номер - просто кайф. Персонал чудесный - все на своих местах. Все пожелания исполняются моментально, но при этом ненавязчиво. Классный бассейн и сад. Очень красивый пляж 2 минуты ходьбы. Вкусный завтрак. Также мы 2 раза обедали в ресторане - вкусно! Это было лучшее наше размещение на Шри Ланке за 28 дней! Спасибо! Через территорию отеля ходит поезд, но смотрится это очень круто и необычно! Лайфхак: рельсам дойти до города 15 минут. Основную часть пути можно будет пройти сбоку от рельс)

Wunderschöner Garten, schön angelegter Pool , sehr schöne ,grosse Zimmer. DasBadezimmer könnte eine Auffrischung vertragen, aber die gesamte Atmosphäre des Hotels ist sehr angenehm und gediegen, abgerundet durch sehr freundliches Personal mit einem tollen Service. Ich würde dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Это настоящая 5☆ Сервис зашкаливает, очень внимательный персонал, никакой навязчивой. Помочь готовы все. Территория чистая, аппаратная, любой листочек упавший с дерева убирают мгновенно))) завтраки на отлично, подача блюд безукоризненная. Приятно провести время у бассейна, полотенца предоставляют в любое время. Пляж через жд дорогу, но не напрягало, даже прикольно посмотреть на проезжающие поезда, редко ездят. Пляж чистый, но от отеля оборудования нет, мы ходили в ближайшие кафе и там , если возьмёшь напиток, можно пользоваться шезлонгом. Сами номера в ретро стиле, мебель стильная, приятно в номере находится. Огромный балкон с видом на шикарный сад. Удобная кровать, кондиционер настроен здорово, не сдувает с кровати, как во многих отелях. Чайник, вода, чай и кофе в пакетиках пополняется. Минибар платный, но цена как в любом баре или ресторане Шри-Ланки. До города ездили только пару раз, минут 10 на тук-туке. Но в 10 минутах хотьбы , рядом с отелем тоже есть кафе и ресторанчики, не так как в самой Бентоте загружены. На рецепшен нам помогли приобрести экскурсии. Отель рекомендую однозначно.

This was the last of the 4 hotels we did in our 10 day trip. Boutique resort, just 15 rooms and a lovely lawn and a 20 met pool. Outstanding service, good food and just a min walk across the tracks to the bentota beach.

It was the best stay ever. All the staff were very polite and prompt. The villa itself is a very serene and beautiful place. We really can't express in words the experience of the stay,. We will definitely go back here during our next visit to srilanka.

Location is great, very close to the bentota beach. Property is neat and clean with lush green garden, clean swimming pool. In breakfast, they serve set menu and not buffet t menu

Sylvie and I would like to thank you for your excellent welcome both very professional and very friendly because know it, the villa club people will always do everything for your well being. We were picked up as soon as we arrived at the airport and those despite an early morning arrival then our room was ready from 8am. Left in circuit at 4:00 a person brought us a breakfast basket, you want to rent a scooter no problem more the situation of the hotel offers many possibilities of escape whether by train, bus, taxi, tuk tuk or motorcycle. Question meal we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast: fruit, buffalo yogurt, omelette and bacon and many other choices. Dinner: as you will see in photo we tested almost all the Sri Lankan specialties proposed and each time it was a treat. The chef and his team are on top. You want fresh fish a special request and Prasanna and her team will look for will satisfy you. Simple pool but temperature and cleanliness at the top ditto for the very intimate garden not to mention the extremely pleasant olfactory atmosphere and soothing mixture of smell of gardenia and jasmine. Room and interior of the hotel both simple and extremely elegant, colonial style and it is all the interest of the place the feeling of being at home in VIP++ mode and not in one of these factories to tourist sanitized and charming. Beach: Direct access, wild and clean ideal for late afternoon walks and swimming in the rollers. ⚠️The train ⚠️ It is very little present, a few trains a day of a few seconds but absolutely does not disturb your tranquility because it is not a TGV and on the contrary it brings an entertaining and exotic note, a kind of attraction. In conclusion these 7 days were wonderful and rich of beautiful meeting in a dream place. We plan to come back longer with our three children and it will be at club Villa as one of our bases on the West side. Bohoma istuh-ti all and take care of yourself. Most exhilarating experience. The hotel was very well kept and the staff was very cordial. All of them, including the f&b manager. They even arranged for a sumptuous breakfast on the potion of our room. The spears was amazing. There is train track between the hotel and the beach, which was very new to us and amusing. Just added to the charm. The beach was very quiet and beautiful. The people at reception were a little bit uptight but surely nothing that we indians cannot manage. Over all a memorable experience. Will surely comeback!

We had the most amazing stay at Club Villa. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast delicious (the best of our trip), the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the location on the beach and the gardens just stunning. The perfect place to start your holiday in Sri Lanka (we got a taxi straight from the airport).

Stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe room. Were first shown a room which was so small & dark it had no room for our 2 large suitcases. We asked if we could change rooms & they showed us a larger deluxe room over the restaurant but with no outside space so declined this room & eventually were moved to room 1 which was larger & brighter & looked like it had been more recently renovated than the two other rooms. It is worth noting the deluxe rooms are advertised as being larger than the standard room but in some of the rooms most of the extra space is on a mezzanine level up some steep stairs which has another bed. It was too steep for us to use for our cases & definitely could not be used for young children or elderly . We are in our early sixties & able bodied & found it quite inaccessible & quite frankly dangerous . The gardens & pool area are the highlight of this hotel & are beautiful . The man who looked after the pool & sun-beds was a delight & made sure you had your sun-bed wherever you wanted it & even placed frangipane flowers on your sun-bed! The pool is in excellent condition & very well kept. However, most of the hotel does need updating to bring it up to its former glory. The bar area was particularly uninviting with its dark decor & no proper bar as such . The dining room had no ambiance but food & drinks were good & reasonably priced. During our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka, this was the only hotel which had drinking water in plastic bottles & shampoo etc was also in small non reusable plastic bottles. The management do need to review their environmental policy. The hotel still has a lovely relaxed feel about it & the staff were lovely & helpful. As our flight left late at night, they allowed us to stay in our room for longer at no extra cost on our last day which we were very grateful . Our rooms was kept spotlessly clean. Not sure I would stay again as the trains at the bottom of the garden do operate until about midnight & start again at 4am & did wake me . The trains are approx hourly & were a novelty at first but when it affected my sleep every night I wasn’t so keen. It is worth noting that all hotels nearby along the same beach back on to this railway line so this is not exclusive to Club Villa.

A beautiful small hotel with lots of quirky features and old world charm. Beautiful garden and pool and lovely, friendly staff. If you like Geoffrey Bawa then this is a great opportunity to stay in a building he designed and enjoy the beautiful architecture and garden. Particularly recommend a lassi under the trees in the afternoon. Plenty of sunbeds and places to relax, lots of peace and quiet. And the bonus of a train trundling past the end of the garden every so often!
