The hotel was off the beaten path. It’s in a residential area. Not close to anything. The staff were very friendly and attempted to correct any issues we had. It is more like a Boutique Hotel. The food was good a little pricey. I would recommend this place if you just want to sit pool side or in hot tub. The beach is about half hour away.

Overall, the stay at the Hive was good! We stayed in a luxury Suite with our own plunge pool. The room did not have a microwave. Also, the room could use a air vent in the bathroom, along with a pen and tablet by the telephone. If you are looking to do tours they will not pick you up at this Hotel as it is in a residential area. Uber is safe to use while getting around and a lot cheaper than taxis and Hotel shuttle.There are no local restaurants to walk to and eat (only Sushi place next door). I used uber eats, which was fast and convenient. There is a 7-11 on the corner that is open 24hrs.If I return back to Cancun I would definitely stay at this Hotel again!

Lobby was nicely cozy and clean. Rooms updated but don’t feel clean. Walls nepotism be repainted.
Sheets where clean.
It’s a motel not a hotel.

Don’t do it!!!!!! booked a suite due to flight being cancelled. Private plunge pool and public pool have limited filter systems. They both are dirty. This property is on a loud busy street and the walls and doors are paper thin. You literally hear Everything!! I barely got any rest!!
Do not recommend I was checked in for less then 3 hours when I realized the noise is unbearable they refuse a refund dispute the sound conditions surrounding the hotel .

The staff was super nice and helpful. Willing to accommodate and help with rates on extended checkout as well as call a cab when needed. I suggest you call them to set up a cab to and from the airport as they will get a rate that is 1/2 regular rates to and from the airport.
Only bad thing about the place is that there really isn't anything to do near the hotel and you'll need to bus or cab elsewhere for activities.

We only stayed one night after flying in late but it was nice, clean and came with a small continental breakfast of fruit, toast, coffee and juice. The front desk staff was very helpful both when we checked in very late and in helping us as we left the next morning.
