The Level at Melia Villaitana

Another visit to this lovely hotel. Level was brilliant. The room was spacious and clean. Maybe a little more entertainment would be a good idea at night...as a little quiet. The staff could not do enough for you and the restaurant was excellent. Thanks again for an enjoyable visit.

Checked in yesterday. Very large room and a big balcony with a wonderful view to the golf course and ocean. Excellent breakfast. Good parking garage with easy access to rooms. Rosa at reception nas been super helpful, a true gem. Really looking forward to the rest of the week of our stay.

I already wrote a review before anyway Carlos in the Melia level villataina I never forget he is the best and most helpful, excellent , professional, for me custumer service very good and excellent we are satisfied , room in the level huge amazing views of the golf course . Thanks Angie Linney

We stayed here in June 2022 in a red level sea view junior suite which was huge. Melia were actually really good as we had rebooked 4 times due to various Covid restrictions in 2020 and 2021. The red level was good for breakfast, afternoon snacks and evening drinks. The resort restaurants were okay but we decided to go out a few nights (Rice restaurant worth a visit). The resort is beautiful but was a little shabby in places e.g. sunbeds and it didnt have a top end luxury feel. It could be with some money spent on it. However very child friendly and reasonably priced.

We spent 6 nights at the hotel in late September. We landed in Alicante airport and our pre-ordered ride to the hotel was waiting for us (apx. 70 USD). After some 45 minutes, we arrived to the hotel. We checked in at 21:15 and were allocated The Level Junior Suite 423. We got a lovely wristband, which served as our room key and showed that we were guests of “The Level”. Unlike other 5* hotels, nobody bothered to walk us to our room and we had to find it in a maze of endless corridors. The 50 square meters room was large, but very oddly appointed. It featured 2 twin beds, a large TV, a minibar, safe, sofa, table and an (uncomfortable) armchair. The TV was facing the bed and not the living room, so when you sat on the sofa you were staring at the back of the TV. There were no desk and chair in the room. The a/c in the room was great. Next to the entrance, there was a huge closet room and a big bathroom with a shower, 2 sinks, a bath tub, a toilet and a bidet. The water pressure in the bath tub and the shower was insanely strong and the water were boiling hot. Embarrassingly enough, all the bathroom amenities were in large, ugly dispensers. Of the generic brand of Ritual. The dispensers nearest to the bath tub were at a height of almost 1 meter, which was impractical for anyone sitting in the tub. As if that was not enough, the bath tub was chipped with a sharp piece of stone/marble sticking out and the shower was partially broken and always leaked to the bathroom. There was mold along the area where the bath tub was joined to the stone/marble and all over the shower’s floor and doors. The towels were very large, but showed a lot of wear and tear. There was supposed to be a special amenity in the room for “The Level” guests, but there was none. The room featured a double-size terrace (apx. 25 square meters) with views of the golf course. The club lounge, called “The Level”, is located next to the reception, and is, in simple words – a complete and utter joke. It is open from 11AM until 9PM and offers very basic things: cold drinks, beer, wine, DREADFUL coffee, snacks, hummus and some olives. That’s it. Due to Covid-19, it is not self-service and you need to ask for one of the attendants for everything. This causes significant queues in the lounge with zero atmosphere. We were shocked to realize that the daily cocktail hour was cancelled and is now only done twice a week (Tuesday and Friday). During the rest of the days there’s a non-existent wine tasting and cocktail making. The cocktail hour itself, which we attended twice during our stay, was nicely put out in one of the terraces, but, alas, the finger food was very average. The hotel features a spa, which costs apx. 30USD for an hour in a hot pool (only top suite guests receive it complimentary). Outrageous! No wonder it was constantly empty. Lovely hotel, with plenty of amenities, off Beaton track but near beach and Benidorm 15min in taxi Staff very attentive and speak good English, we stayed in the level worth the extra, but I would warn about the hidden extras if your on half board. It’s to long to go into but they charge a supplement if you eat in any restaurants apart from buffet. We had a suite very nice but looking a bit tired with noisy air-con. Some good evening entertainment that’s quite good, drinks can be expensive and for class of hotel I would have expected some sort of pool service unless I missed it. Quite a few pools so no problem getting sun-bed or umbrella. Overall nice hotel and this was our second visit but this time I felt we did get good value for money

What a disappointment. The hotel looks impressive and is clean and tidy. But in spite of glorious weather after the Easter weekend, they were very short staffed and few facilities were open. No drinks around the pool, not even water. The only place you could get a drink was the Level lounge bar and the quality was dreadful. Lunch only in Papas (has its own awful reviews thoroughly deserved) the food was average to say the least. Check in took forever. Certainly not 5*. One the plus side, our suite was nice. Meliá, it’s a beautiful property, staff it properly and improve the services. Such a shame.

The check in took FOREVER only to tell us that the rooms are not ready, making all my family nervous and even the receptionist; which by the way, was not that friendly. For the rooms, the AC does not work, they told us is centralized so the rooms were sooooooooooooo hot making the stay uncomfortable. For the “casa club” bar, poor ladies at the bar they were just 2 of them serving and attending for like at least 50 clients; nice staff but work duties not very well balanced.
