This hotel and the Internazionale Hotel and Spa treated me poorly and I ultimately left Bellinzona early because of the outright prejudice and snobbishness if the Swiss people in this city. Hotel Unione has nobody working at night so if you don’t have your key you are locked out. Internazionale lost my reservation and told me it was my fault even when I showed them my reservation. I left and went to the Hotel Unione and everything was fine until I got locked out and the Owner accused me of a “big problem” because the front door was supposedly broken and nobody could leave the hotel in the morning which is a total lie since the hotel has multiple doors. Very mean and aggressive management, just watch how they respond to my review!

We would be so happy to recommend this hotel to anyone. The front desk woman was so welcoming and friendly! The breakfast was delicious. Our room had an amazing view of one of the castles. Excellent hotel!

Room was spacious for two of us, and bathroom was as well. It reminds me it was important. We had comfortable stay at this room and hotel.

Spent two non consecutive nights here, and have stayed on other occasions. Good comfortable family-run hotel ideally located near the historic centre of Bellinzona. There is a lift. The rooms have air conditioning and balconies. Some rooms have stunning views of the famous three castles which are close to the hotel.Very good restaurant serving Italian cuisine, with a decent wine list. They happily produced a fine meal when we arrived after 9 pm . There is a garden at the front where food and drink are served in good weather. Decent breakfast. Large (paying) car park nearby A good choice for stopping over or visiting the sights.

We stayed with our 2 teens and appreciated the twin beds for them. Hotel is clean and has air conditioning but it wasn't very efficient. It's right across from a large parkade that is connected to one of the castles. The dinner was very expensive in the hotel. This was halfway point of our trip so I went about 15 minutes away to a laundromat that was very clean. Grocery and pharmacies nearby.

This location is a very convenient to everything to include a grocery store right across the street. While on our balcony, we had a view of the castles and it was amazing to have glass of wine and enjoy the views.

Receptionist completely overwhelmed and from get go defensive. Breakfast crew nowhere to be found, tables not set. Otherwise clean, great location

The views offered by many rooms at Hotel Unione are simply stunning with all three of Bellinzona’s castles in view. And if you are lucky enough to have a balcony, then there is no better spot for an evening drink, although if you like your Aperol spritz by Italian standards, then you should probably order a double. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, really assuring that all guests enjoy their time. And the best part is their wonderful breakfast spread with lots of options and the best ricotta I’ve ever had.
