The resort is very nice, the location is perfect. However, when we first arrived the water wasn't working. It was then fixed but it looks a yellowy colour. Insect repellent doesnt seem to be working in the room ( its a plug in one) the lady sprayed the room on day one which worked but apparantly they have run out of it. We had an early start and the breakfast in the lounge was our only option, the bread/ croissant were roxk hard and dry. Other then that the usual breakfast is ok. I would recommend getting the edge water reservation for dinner the good is better then the Mercardo. We got half board but the catch is that ypu have to pay for drinks and water, which you obviously can't eat the food without, we came for are honeymoon and expected it to be included not having to pay extra for drinks. Lastly we found a waiter who was amazing and has sorted us out this trip, his name is Muzammal, he has literally made it amazing at the outrigger!

Check in by Krishna was very cold & not welcoming. Surprised that this individual is allowed to check guests in. Cold , no smile, rushed, unpleasant. I was not done finishing my welcome drink and he was in a rush to bring us to our room.
Rod, front desk manager, nice & welcoming. Ensures guests are happy.
Resort: older resort in need of renovation. Reminded me of cuban resorts. Old furniture, dated AC but blows nice cold air. Generous room space.
Check out: unfortunately got krishna again while checking out. This gentlemen needs to quit his job. I was speaking in english and he continuously answered back in creole. I had to tell him if knows how to speak in english as my wife does not speak Creole. Bad bad service.

Had the best time ever at Outrigger. Staff was superb, great, very very kind, lovely and so helpful. Love the food. Wow the food and drinks especially cocktails superb. Very nice hotel and will be back soon and I highly recommend this hotel. The best ive been so far❤️❤️❤️ Diksha, Yoven, Ashley, Sharonne, Eveleen and All the staff thank you very much... special thanks to Yoven and his team also Diksha and her team. We had a fantastic moment with my family. I've been there for the fifth time. It was sad to leave but i will come again maybe this month. Thanks to Melissa for a warm welcoming us. At Bar blue we had lunch there,the pizza was so delicious thank you Chef Erwin. Very professional and great hospitality from them. A big thanks for Mr Yoven for checking on us and thanks to all staffs at Bar Blue who preparing the cocktail by Nihal, Diksha, Wazeer, Sandy and Sharonne. An evening at edgewater was amazing thank you to Mr Ranjiv, Chef Ashok and waiter Muzamil and at the plantation also thanks to Yanish and Estelle for the tea time and breakfast. All the service was a next to another level it was extremely well done. Wonderful staffs working there they are very friendly and caring. See you soon ❤️

It's the most serene property.. Beautiful location and nestled in the quiet south of idyllic Mauritius.. Very nice food Great rooms Loved the beach We had 2 room and they were kept tidy and clean thru the stay. Highly recommended for family and relaxed getaway. Mr Yashil and Vilasha took good care and helped with packed breakfast and guiding us thru the property respectively.

A very warm welcome from MR ROBBY,JARVIN,ARVESH and whole team of front office,specially the concierge team.we Had a very nice lunch at bar bleu accompanied with those colorful cocktails prepared by Sharone,Nihal,Damini.thank you for the special attention from mr yoven.The pizza chef Mazor at the bar bleu which made me continue to lick my fingers after eating those pizza and that octopus salad.It was delicious The room was very neat and clean had a gorgeous view also. Those marvelous deserts at Mercado which was so tasty and specially That Bouillon crabe made by the chef,which made my mouth watering 🤤.It was above to perfection.we had a very relaxing time by the pool.Thank you for your kindness shaffick from Mercado It is recommended to go as you feel like at home there with those special attention and caring people.

Outrigger is supposed to a luxury hotel but not value for money at all.There is a very bad service provided to customers.Staffs have a great lack hospitality, as they don’t really welcome the guests properly and they don’t have a gentle way of communication.There is bad customer assistance service.Quality of food not to the level. At breakfast time eggs are cooked in advanced and displayed.I asked for the chef to customized mine egg , but she did not listen to my order . The chairs at Marcado restaurant were dirty outside. Some plats and glasses are not properly cleaned. Thus I do not recommend Outrigger.
