Our stay at the Taj Bekal Resort was nothing short of amazing! We stayed in the Premium Villa with Courtyard and Plunge Pool, and it was incredibly comfortable and luxurious. The light rain during our visit added a serene touch to the experience, making the ambiance even more special. A big thank you to Ms. Supari for her excellent hospitality throughout our stay; she truly made us feel welcome. The outdoor activities, especially archery, kayaking, and the zip line, were so much fun and added to the overall experience. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and highly recommend Taj Bekal Resort!

The resort has some of the best rooms you can find in Kerala. The design language is a distinctive mix of Kerala and Bali. We stayed in a pool villa and really enjoyed having access to a pool. The food at the main restaurant is great- lots of variety and attention to detail. The property has access to both a backwater and a beach. The spa is perhaps the largest one you would see in all of India. The property has so many things going for it but one area where it lets you down is the staff. About 90 percent of the staff who are serving you are excellent and will go out of the way to make your stay great. Some names that stood are Soumajit and Avinash. However, there are a few people who seem to carry sales targets that really mess up your experience. They will call you in the afternoon and try to sell you some nonsensical archery package for 400 rupees- surely the Taj can do better than trying to be a nicer version of a Club Mahindra. We had a chance to speak to the GM and share our feedback and things definitely improved after that. However, this is one aspect the resort really needs to look into and stop pestering their guests on small things to try to squeeze a few thousand more in revenue.

Very well maintained property. Beautiful rooms with all amenities . Beach is juat 2 minutes walk away . Mesmerising views of backwater and sea. Staff treated us like family. Took care of almost anything we needed specially Arjun from front desk was helping and welcoming in every way possible. Food is also delicious. 100% recommend .

Super duper care and hospitality by all staff but Supari, Duty Manager was too good and taken special care for everything during our stay. We are super excited to refer this property to our friends and relatives to stay and enjoy in future...

The overall experience at Taj Bekal was just wonderful. The hospitality and service exceeded our expectations. The staff was helpful and always accommodating. We went to the property on recommendations from friends and it was worth the experience.

Taj bekal one of the best properties of Taj in Kerala , should take the room with a plunge pool Special thanks to supari Kadal @front desk for making the experience one of the most memorable one and also the staff at backwater cafe @tanu and team smiling as ever inspite of the long hours that they put in pre and post set up in the morning Keep the excellent hospitality that you are known for .

The plunge pool is the best and it is very relaxing. The staff is very polite and warm. The restaurant by the best bay and backwater Cafe has amazing menu. The breakfast menu is very nice and elaborate. This was gift for my parents on their anniversary and I think it was our best vacation. I plan to visit again.

We visited this property second time in 10 years and might visit a third time. Commute: This property is bit far from other popular Kerala locations like Alleppi etc.But spending time at this property is worth.Best way is flight Mumbai-Mangalore and then hotel cab, or train till Kasargod and then hotel cab/auto till hotel. Property: You will immediately fall in love with the lush green property, spread across acres, has access to sea as well as backwaters and is serene.If you are planning to explore places, book a day extra to just enjoy the hotel and around. Food: Best is to have their regional specialty: appam and vegetable stew/kadala curry.Breakfast spread has good options.Same with main meals. Nearby places: For the famous Kohikode chips in coconut oil, visit nearby market which is around 10 km.Anathpadmanabh swamy temple is on same direction and can be coupled.Temple dress code is not strict but best for men to visit bare chested and women in indian traditional attire.Beautiful place.The crocodile mentioned in reviews is not there now I believe.

Amazing experience. Compliments to; 1. chef Majid, who served us with delicious dosa and very polite and helpful. 2. Mr Sachin, who was our server. He was very polite, helpful and pro efficient. 3. Mr Dinesh, general manager. He looked into all our complaints and resolved everything quickly. 4. Mr Ravi, who was over all very helpful and accommodating to all our demands. Mr Sachin deserves a promotion. Our stay was amazing, food was good. (80 out of 100) Improvements can be made in food department. South Indian chef is great. Indian cuisine chef needs a lot of improvement. Italian chef also needs to be changed or improved by a lot. Chinese food was good but only on day 01. On third day, noodles were bad. Also the temperature at the restaurant is very hot. Air conditioner is either not working properly or needs a upgrade. Same goes for air conditioner in the room. Beach is ok, not great. Pool is good , room service is good Temperature at gazebo during candle light dinner is too hot, please install a portable AC there. General cleanliness around the property needs to be looked at!! Mr. Prajith our driver was very helpful and cooperative!
