Hotel de la Sologne

A nice place to stay, but with a problem: the owner, Mme Arnelle Tocquet, who seems to exhibit contempt for her guests. Three examples: we arrive at 3:30PM, door is locked shut, no ringing or knocking success; a phone call raises a live voice, who explains that the hotel opens at 4. When I ask why this is not posted, she is adamant that it is: later when in person I confront her about this, and she points to a long ago faded sheet, totally illegible, and claims the information is there. Three days later, as we leave, she hasn’t bothered to replace it. I have many other examples from our stay, but this makes the point. The hotel is on a nice square, but hard to find. Needless to say, we’ll stay elsewhere in this charming town, with plenty of choices.

I was travelling by bicycle with my learning-disabled son who was hot and tired at the end of a long ride. The hotel owner saw us through the window as we arrived, came out and welcomed us, and made sure we had everything we needed. My son was still distressed the following morning, so she found a nice quiet spot for our breakfast away from other guests, insisted we take the rest of the gluten-free bread that she'd provided specially, and said we could stay on beyond check-out time if necessary. Really exceptional.

Charming exterior and in a brilliant location. The lady who runs it couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Another time I would go for a larger room as ours was very small.

Right in the historic centre. Delightful old building. Rooms are dated, with high ceilings and basic facilities, but modern a shower room & toilet . The owner was very friendly and helpful and made our stay even better. Breakfast was a standard continental. Limited on-street parking, time restricted but can park by the riverside a short distance away.

Great location close to the centre of Beaugency. Rooms were clean and perfect for an overnight stay. Warm and helpful and friendly welcome

Suite à un différent avec la personne qui m’accompagnait, l’hôtelier a refusé de nous accueillir ! Mon séjour a été payé et non effectué ! Une honte ! Cela représentait une somme importante pour moi qui ait peu l’habitude d’aller à l’hôtel !

Accueil parfait, elle est souriante et agréable. Petit déjeuner au petit soin ! je recommande !

Ein angenehmes kleines Hotel, das Ruhe und Erholung ermöglicht. Perfekt für einen Zwischenstopp an der Loire. Sehr herzliches und freundliches Personal.

Séjour très agréable dans cet hôtel de charme idéalement situé. Accueil fabuleux !
