Ducassi Rooftop Pool Suites Beach Club and Spa

We had an okay trip to DR. The “hotel” is more like apartments, and people do seem to live here actually also. The rooftop pool is so awesome, and literally the best part of the place. The room is clean, but we killed probably 4-5 cockroaches in the room. Stove was all rusty. When arriving, the door didn’t lock & we were 2 women in their early 20s who are both ＞ 130lbs. When requesting a new room, they “fixed” the door and refused to give us a new room. Scary location - we didn’t feel safe walking around at night here as women. Also, were scammed by a very nearby restaurant called “Bohio Punta Cana”. Free breakfast was awesome. No conditioner, only shampoo and “gel”? No hand soap. The shower seems to be salt water. I would honestly recommend staying on a resort if you come to DR, otherwise you might never want to come back.

The worst place we have ever stayed in. Room was awful, used towels as covers as the bed sheets were paper thin, water faucet in bathroom was not secured correctly, no WiFi code, unresponsive via WhatsApp, just general disrepair Will never stay here again.

Avoid Ducassi Suites Rooftop Pool Beach Club and Spa! If your reservation is not prepaid online they will say at check-in that the site oversold the hotel. They will refer you to the building next door to speak with another agent and make it seem as if their trying to help you. When in fact they are selling you the same room at a much higher price (for us $500 additional) and they will only accept Cash or PayPal for payment. The rooms are roach infested, dirty and the water for the shower and sink have a horrible odor. The siding door did not close even after placing the latch to secure the doors. When we informed the desk they said not to worry that the room is safe. Come to find out the very next norming there were 6 officers on our floor because another family got robbed. The office then sent someone to our room to drill the balcony sliding door shut. The HVAC unit is directly above the bed and each night the unit decided to leak ALL night. I had to sleep on the opposite side of the bed and put a towel on the bed to collect the water while I tried to sleep. The breakfast included is a joke. It's actually a few blocks away from the hotel on the beach. The menu options was ridiculous and the amount of flies were out of control making it difficult to eat in peace. Me and my whole family were constantly waving our hands over the table, food and drinks to keep the flies from landing on them. The workers saw what was going on and made no attempt to assist. We just got up and left and paid to eat elsewhere. Sol De Caribe which is across the street is the same company but under a different alias business. The keys for the units for both businesses are in one same office. They are scammers!! Avoid at all costs!

A disaster from the start. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff saw me standing there waiting with him, but he preferred to continue talking to his friend. When the same person arrived, he wanted to charge me an extra 40 USD for electricity, which I refused because it was not written in the reservation. I told him that I was only going to pay for what I used, which in the end was 4 USD (SCAMMERS). The apartment was very dirty and there were even COCKROACHES. I wrote to Riccardo, the manager, but he did nothing. Everything was a disaster.

Where to begin! The good reviews and photos are false. The place is disgusting. Old, dirty, broken, and just like the other reviews, salty water, rude people, balcony door doesn't shut, tv stuff hanging off the wall. Just don't stay here. Told *********** but they aren't doing anything about it.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SHIRT!!! Arrived there late in the night, came to check in with my credit card only to be told that only cash payments were accepted. So the clerk took me across the street to a local shop where I could proceed to withdraw the money. Which I did, and was told I had to pay 130$ USD extra for the service. The fan in the room didn't work either, and I was told that using the AC would cost me 25$ USD a day. The tv didn't function either. After 5 days I went to the office to get fresh towels and a puny bar of soap That will be 10$ EXTRA , - I was told. Then the worst part happened: Someone with a key walked into my room and stole 1,200$ I had stashed in my room.
